Doris F. Marcotte

North Hudson, N.Y. — Doris F. Marcotte, 78, of North Hudson, N.Y., died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at her home.

She was born Dec. 3, 1926, in Westport, N.Y., the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Borden) Budwick.

She is survived by her five children, Robert and Jean Marcotte of Hague, N.Y., Nappy and Judy Marcotte of Moriah, N.Y., Linda and Frank Anauo of North Hudson, N.Y., Dory and Glenn Fiore of Blue Ridge, N.Y., and Mary and Rickie Stockwell of Port Henry, N.Y.; her sister, Eleanor Browne of San Diego, Calif.; her brothers, Kenneth Budwick of Westport, N.Y., and Bob Budwick of Elizabethtown, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Doris was predeceased by her husband, Napoleon Marcotte; and her brothers, Joseph, Dewey and Donald Budwick.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Feb. 8th, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, at 11 a.m. at the Lady of Lourdes Church in Schroon Lake. Burial will be in the North Hudson Catholic Cemetery.

Anthony John Stoker

Willsboro — Anthony John Stoker, 92, of Mountain View Drive, Willsboro, died at Elizabethtown Hospital on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005.

Mr. Stoker lived in Willsboro most of his life and married Edna Stella Christian on Nov. 7, 1941. He retired as a laborer for the Essex County Highway Department in 1981. Tony was well known for his storytelling and musical talents, playing the fiddle, accordion and harmonica. He was also known as a wonderful gardener.

He and Edna had 13 children, Arnold of Willsboro, Wayne and Linda of Willsboro, Georgianna and Joe Bouyea of Plattsburgh, Suzzanne Schenck of Grass Valley, Calif., Phoebe and Roger Decker of Alder Creek, Polly and Bob Broomfield of Plattsburgh, Pauline and Mike Hammond of Spokane, Wash., Shirley and Pat Connors of Keeseville, Julia Reynolds and Larry LaPier of Plattsburgh, Alice and Francis Ouimette of Ausable Forks, Anthony Jr. and Beverly of Willsboro, Nancy and Leslie Ryan of Lewis and Gary Stoker of Willsboro; 30 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by one daughter, Elaine; two sons-in-law, John Joy and Phillip Reynolds; and three grandchildren, Melissa Reynolds, Angel Hemingway and James Baker.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Huestis Funeral Home, Maple Street, Willsboro. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 10 a.m., with Rev. Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery at a later date.

Irvin L. Calkins Sr., 70, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at his home in Wilmington, N.Y.

Irvin was born March 20, 1934, in Willsboro, N.Y., the son of Irvin Calkins Sr., and Julia (Marsha) Calkins.

There will be no calling hours or funeral at this time.

The Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Frances "Betty" Hyde, 77, of Constable Street, Malone, N.Y., died unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at the Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Fla.

She was born in Malone, N.Y., on Nov. 26, 1927, the daughter of the late Francis and Beatrice (Gordon) Nicklaw.

Calling hours will be Thursday from noon until 2:45 p.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 3 p.m. at Notre Dame Church in Malone, with Monsignor Dennis Duprey officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery on the Lake Titus Road in Malone in the spring.

Grace M. Brown, 87, of Underwood Road, Tupper Lake, N.Y., died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at Mercy Healthcare Center, where she had resided the past few years.

Grace was born on June 15, 1917, in Tupper Lake, the daughter of Earl Erastin and Margaret Jones (LaRock) Fellows.

Calling hours will be held at the Richer Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. A funeral service will be held that day at 1 p.m. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Holy Name Cemetery.

Julia H. Kissane, 83, of Spring Flower Drive, Malone died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone, N.Y., where she had been a patient since Feb. 4, 2005.

She was born in Chateaugay, N.Y., on April 28, 1921, the daughter of James Valentine and Mary Jane "Minnie" (Welch) Harrigan.

Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Tuesday, Feb. 8th, from 3 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in St. Patrick's Church with Rev. John Demo officiating. Spring burial will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Chateaugay.

Joanne P. Whalen, 48, of Witherbee, N.Y., died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born March 15, 1956, in Portland, Ore., the daughter of John and Joan (Bonzar) Staudenmaier.

There are no services scheduled at this time.

Arrangements are with the Harland Funeral Home, Port Henry.
