Jennifer Louise Welch

Plattsburgh — Jennifer Louise Welch, 19, of Johnson Avenue, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born in Plattsburgh on Nov. 14, 1985, daughter of James B. and Diane (Rabideau) Welch. Jennifer graduated from Plattsburgh High School in June 2002 and was a student at Plattsburgh State University, majoring in journalism.

She was employed at the Plattsburgh Y.M.C.A. and loved her job working with the children in the Bright Beginnings program there. Previous jobs include Meadowbrook Nursing Home and O'Brien Video. Jen was a loving and thoughtful daughter and friend who will be missed dearly by so many who knew and loved her. Her fun-loving and giving spirit will be remembered by all of those whose lives she touched.

Jennifer is survived by her parents, James and Diane Welch of Plattsburgh; a brother, James Welch of Plattsburgh; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Welch of Plattsburgh; maternal grandmother, Shirley Bell and her husband Vic of Plattsburgh; paternal aunts and uncles, Charlie and Mary McGee, Michael and Kathy Welch, Patrick and Ellen Welch, Ellen Welch and Dick Johnson, Tommy and Tina Welch, David Welch and Tina Soloski, Annie Welch; maternal aunts and uncles, Gary Rabideau, Alan and Karen Rabideau, Kenny and Paula Rabideau, Kelly Rabideau and Noel Foley; and several cousins.

Jennifer was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Raymond A. Rabideau.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A prayer service, led by Rev. Floyd Bleaux, will be held at 1 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. from Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will be in the spring of 2005 in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.

Memorial donations in Jennifer's name may be made to the Bright Beginnings program, Y.M.C.A. in Plattsburgh.

Richard J. "Smokey" Rabideau Sr.

Morrisonville — Richard J. "Smokey" Rabideau Sr., 83, of Route 22B, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center, surrounded by his children.

He was born in Cadyville on Oct. 31, 1921, the son of Nelson and Julia (Shapell) Rabideau.

Richard married the former Rita Duso in 1942 at St. James Church in Cadyville; she died in 1981.

Mr. Rabideau was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, serving in the European Theatre.

He worked for Bay View Dairy for 35 years, retiring in 1975.

He was a fiddle player for 76 years and played with the "The Green Mountain Boys," "Smokey and The Sunset Ramblers," "The Cold Brook Ramblers," and the "RSVP Kitchen Band."

He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 20 in Plattsburgh and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 309 in Peru.

Richard received numerous awards for his music, including a New York Assembly Citation, the RSVP Kay Sciole Award and the Thomas J. Fallon Senior Citizen's "Mule Skinners" Award.

Survivors include three sons, Ken Rabideau and his wife Jan of Plattsburgh, Richard Rabideau Jr. and his wife Lora of Port Richey, Fla., and Wayne Rabideau and his wife Joann of Keeseville; six daughters, Mrs. William (Janet) Quick of Plattsburgh, Mrs. Richard (June) Hart of Keeseville, Mrs. Michael (Jane) Watts of Plattsburgh, Mrs. Cliff (Joan) Torrance of Plattsburgh, Mrs. Patrick (Julie) Wardynski of Ellenville and Mrs. Paul (Jackie) Martinez of Monroe; one sister, Mrs. Ross (Hilda) Bouyea of Plattsburgh; his companion, Eunice LeClair of Plattsburgh; 33 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

One son, Gary Rabideau; three grandchildren, William Quick Jr., Wendy and Heather Rabideau; two brothers, Everest and Leonard Rabideau; and one sister, Lauren Rabideau, all died earlier.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Keeseville. Burial will be at a later date in the parish cemetery.

Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the FitzPatrick Cancer Center.

Hilda M. Trombley

KeesevilIe — Hilda M. Trombley, 80, of Front Street, Keeseville, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Keeseville, May 19, 1924, the daughter of Fabian and Julia (Mitchell) Blaise.

Survivors include her daughter, Julie A. Rock of Keeseville; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Ruth Barber of Keeseville and Marion and Dale Hart of Keeseville; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Paul Trombley; one daughter, Catherine Trombley; and a brother, Delor Blaise.

Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 1 p.m. at St. John's Church in Keeseville with Monsignor Leeward J. Poissant, pastor, celebrating. Burial will be in the spring in the Port Douglas Cemetery.

Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Harry A. Rose

Saratoga Springs, N.Y. — Harry A. Rose, 67, of Pyramid Pines, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany after a brief illness.

He was born in Schaghticoke, N.Y., on May 3, 1937, son of the late Harry and Eudora (Gooley) Rose and husband of the late Darlene (Sansone) Rose, who died in 2001.

Harry was a bus driver for Greyhound Bus Lines for over 25 years, stationed in Albany.

He enjoyed camping in the Adirondacks and dirt track racing.

Survivors include his sons, Andrew (Stephanie) Rose of Saranac Lake, Randy (Heidi Ramsey) Fafard of Ballston Spa; sisters Irene Johnson of Mechanicville, Wilma Marhafer of Scotia, Monica (Ed) Martin of Glenville and Helen Darrow of California; along with eight grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 South Main St., Mechanicville, on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bloominggrove Cemetery, Defreetsville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Timothy C. Nazarian

Loudonville, N.Y. — Timothy Christopher Nazarian, age 24, entered into eternal life Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, as a result of an automobile accident.

He was born in Albany, N.Y., on March 6, 1980, the son of Joanne Sciotti-Wood and Henrik Nazarian.

Tim graduated from Seton Catholic Central High School in 1998 and graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in history from the State University of New York at Albany in 2003. He was a member of the Chi Delta Chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society. Prior to his death, Tim was making plans to pursue his master’s degree and even possibly a venture into other areas of education.

Tim is survived by his mother, Joanne Wood (Sciotti) and stepfather Leonard Wood Sr. of Peru, N.Y.; his sister, Catherine Zatylny of Peru, N.Y.; his maternal grandmother and confidant, Dorothy B. Kosier of Loudonville; nephew of Deborah Allen, Jennifer Sciotti and Christopher Sciotti; grandnephew of Joyce and Dave Hayes; cousin of Heather, David and Nicholas; stepbrother of Lenny, Larry and Laurie Wood.

Funeral services will be held in the Lasak & Gigliotti Funeral Home, 8 Dudley Heights, Albany (opposite the Philip Livingston School on Northern Blvd) Monday at 8:30 a.m and at 9 a.m. at the Church of St. Francis deSales, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may also call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.

Patrick Joseph Fallon

Jacksonville, Fla. — Patrick Joseph Fallon, 58, formerly of Plattsburgh, N.Y., died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at the Baptist Beaches Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.

He was born on Feb. 26, 1946, in Plattsburgh, to the late John and Louise (Mannix) Fallon.

He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps and a disabled veteran of the Vietnam war.

He joined the Knights of Columbus when he was 18 years old and remained a member for all of his life. He also belonged to the Disabled Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene (Conlon) Fallon; his children, Timothy Christopher, Seth Caleb and Chelsea Mairi, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; his sisters and brother, Mary Durkee of Albany, N.Y., Patricia (Mrs. Wayne) Bordeau of Morrisonville, Judith (Mrs. Ed Combs) Fallon of Plattsburgh and Sean Fallon of Athens, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass was held December 30 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Jacksonville, Fla. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in the summer.

Donations may be made to the Hospice of Jacksonville or directly to the family at 2003 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32211.

Eola M. "Lee" Duprey

HUDSON FALLS, N.Y. — Eola M. "Lee" Duprey, 72, has gone to be with her family, daughter and infant son, on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004.

Lee was born on July 10, 1932, in AuSable Forks, to Chester and Marie (LaRose) Duprey.

Lee graduated from AuSable Forks High School and Albany Business College.

She was employed by the Hudson Falls High School, Stacore Electric, formerly in Glens Falls and retired from BOCES in Hudson Falls as an account clerk.

Lee was a communicant of St. Mary's/St. Paul's Church in Hudson Falls.

She loved her flowers, her gardens and her yard at 4 Elm Street. Lee especially loved volunteering at Christmastime making wreaths for the horticulture class at BOCES with Bert and Eileen. Those classes were very dear to her.

Lee’s mother, father; infant son, Michael Francis Coughlin; her daughter, Linda Coughlin-O’Hara and her son-in-law, Michael O’Hara, all died before her.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie A. Coughlin and her fiancé, Daniel Rouse of Hudson Falls; her two grandsons, who meant the world to her, John O'Hara and Rick Ficarrotta; her sister, Gerry Rasco and her husband Mark of Plattsburgh; her brother, Winston Duprey and his wife Bev of Silver Lake; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., in Hudson Falls.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Black Brook, N.Y., in the spring.

The Rite of Committal will be in the spring at St. Matthew's Cemetery in Black Brook, N.Y.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Gilbert J. Gadway, 77, of Wason Street, Witherbee, N.Y., died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, at Florida Hospital, Ormond Beach, Fla.

He was born April 1, 1927, in Mooers Forks, the son of Mose and Melvina Gadway.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Church of All Saints, Mineville, with Monsignor John McAvoy officiating.

The Harland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Carroll B. "Bud" Leggett, 79, died Dec. 2, 2004, in Tonasket, Wash., following a long illness.

He was born on July 8, 1925, in Passaic, N.J., the son of the late Harry and Mable (Snow) Leggett.

A celebration of his life will be held this summer in Tonasket, Wash.
