Joseph M. Marinelli

Morrisonville — Joseph M. Marinelli, 79, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Bari, Italy on Sept. 14, 1925, the son of Pietro and Nicoletta Marinelli.

He served in the Army National Guard during World War II in a support role for the Army Air Corps.

He was a processing manager in the photography industry in New York City for many years. He was a member of the Plattsburgh Elks Lodge 621 and the Italian-American Club. He enjoyed painting, model airplanes and trains, gemstone collecting, photography and tropical fish.

He is survived by his wife Joyce (Bruce) Marinelli; his children Gloria Moretz of Cape Coral, Fla., Joseph Marinelli Jr. of Piscataway, N.J., Peter Marinelli of Aurora, Ill., Edmund Marinelli of Lawrenceville, N.J., Theresa Marinelli of Seattle, Wash., and Nicoletta Marinelli of Astoria, N.Y.; his brothers and sisters, Anna Girandola of Fountain Valley, Calif., Michael Marinelli of Milan, Italy, Umberto Marinelli of Bronx, N.Y., and Yolanda Santorelli of Sanford, Fla.; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

His first wife, Leona (Parrotte) Marinelli died Sept. 24, 1999.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the O'Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. There will be a time to share memories of Joe at 5:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from St. James Church in Cadyville. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery in Redford in the spring.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country, St. James Church, the CVPH Foundation, Hill & Hollow Music, Inc., Clinton County Council on the Arts, the North Country Cultural Center for the Arts, or the Kent Delord Museum.

Sandra C. Diabo

Crown Point — Sandra C. Diabo, 65, of 605 Hogback Road, Crown Point died peacefully on Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer at her home.

Born in Moriah on Dec. 14, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Truman R. and Elfrieda E. Martin.

She was employed at Porter Hospital in Middlebury, Vt., as a phlebotomist. Sandy was previously employed at laboratories in Saratoga Springs and Ticonderoga.

Sandy loved family, friends and the outdoors. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, hunting, fishing, swimming, camping and blackpowder shoots.

Survivors include her daughter, Kim M. Dresser; and grandson, Joseph D. Salvato of Schuylerville, N.Y.; her sister and husband Sharon L. and John H. Thorpe of DeBary, Fla.; her brother and wife, Gregory D. and Sharon L. Martin of Crown Point, N.Y.; her companion of 10 years, Edwin C. Tuthill of Crown Point, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2004, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home, 4279 Main Street, Port Henry, NY 12974. A memorial service will immediately follow. Burial will be in the spring at the Ironville Cemetery in Crown Point.

Donations may be made in Sandra's memory to the American Cancer Society or to High Peaks Hospice.

Bernard G. Perry

Plattsburgh — Bernard G. Perry, 80, of Flynn Avenue, Plattsburgh, passed away Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Redford on Oct. 28, 1924, son of the late Edward J. and Sadie T. (Gonyea) Perry.

Bernard served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 255 in Plattsburgh where he was faithful navigator and a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 20 and a long time member of the Lions Club in Long Island.

Bernard is survived by three children, Bernard "Jay" Perry Jr. of Dothan, Ala., Rene Perry and his wife Loreen of Massapegua Park and Sharon Butler and her husband Gary of Buffalo; a brother, Victor Perry and his wife Bertha of Willsboro; a sister, Rita Shekrota of Plattsburgh; seven grandchildren, Ryan Perry, Elise Perry, Christopher Perry, Scott Perry, Jessica Yankey and her husband Christopher, Jonathan Butler and Gabrielle Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, at 1 p.m. from St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will be in Saratoga National Cemetery.

Madeline Gladys Coupal

Woodburn, Ore. — Madeline Gladys Coupal, 73, formerly of Chazy, N.Y., died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004, in Woodburn, Ore.

She was born May 23, 1931, in Chazy to Elwin and Gladys (Mooso) LaPier.

She had previously lived in Champlain and Chazy, N.Y., before recently moving to Oregon to be with her daughter because of illness.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed her family, gardening and sewing.

Madeline is survived by her daughters, Deborah LaPlace of Canby, Ore., Sandra Coupal of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Brenda Hall of Shelby Township, Mich.; her son, Charles Coupal of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and her brother, Elwin S. LaPier of Pasadena, Md.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be held later at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Chazy.

R.W. Walker Funeral Home of Plattsburgh is in charge of local arrangements.

The family suggests contributions to the charity of one's choice.

June M, Dufrane, 63, of South Main Street, St. Regis Falls, N.Y., died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, N.Y.

She was born in Santa Clara, N.Y., on April 12, 1941, the daughter of the late Media and Dorothy LaBounty Provost Sr.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Donald Work officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Cemetery in St. Regis Falls in the spring.

Eugene F. Provost, 65, of Recore Road, West Chazy, died on Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

Calling hours and funeral services are incomplete and will be announced by Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

Shirley M. Santo, 76, of Mason Street, Plattsburgh, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at the Clinton County Nursing Home in Plattsburgh.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

Ruth E. Cook, 96, of Farmington, N.M., and formerly of the South Junction Road in Plattsburgh died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at the Cedar Ridge Nursing Home in Farmington, N.M.

She was born in Plattsburgh on April 16, 1908, daughter of the late William and Ethel (Smith) Bonville.

A memorial Mass and interment will be scheduled for early May 2005. Arrangements are with the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

Rosemarie B. Acevedo, 53, of South Pearl Street, Malone, N.Y., died unexpectedly, Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone.

She was born in Allentown, Pa., Oct. 30, 1951, the daughter of August and Freida Becker Seidel Sr.

There are no calling hours. At the convenience of the family a graveside service will be held in the spring at the Cedar Hill Memorial Cemetery in Allentown, Pa.

Arrangements are through the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service, Inc. of Malone, N.Y.

Bernice L. Sanchagrin, 84, formerly of Peru and Rouses Point, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at the Clinton County Nursing Home in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Rouses Point, Oct. 4, 1920, the daughter of Clement and Laura (Anthony) Aubrey.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru.
