Susan I. Ford

CLINTONVILLE — Susan I. Ford, 100, formerly of Trout Pond Road, Clintonville, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at the Horace Nye Nursing Facility in Elizabethtown.

She was born on Nov. 30, 1904, on Trout Pond Road in Clintonville, where she resided until nine years ago when she became a resident of Horace Nye. She was the last to survive of the eight children of Frank and Carrie (Rumney) Ford.

She was a lifelong member of Clintonville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mary Ford of Clintonville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; four sisters, Bessie, Jessie and Mabel Ford and Ida Taylor; and three brothers, Ernest, Clifford and Karl Ford.

There will be no public calling hours. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at 10 a.m. at the Sand Hill Cemetery in Clintonville with the Rev. Virginia Pierce, pastor of the AuSable Forks and Clintonville United Methodist churches, officiating.

Donations in Susan I. Ford’s memory may be made to Keeseville Rescue Squad.

Arrangements are by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville.

Marion A. Lee

WILLSBORO — Marion A. Lee, 74, of the Bay Road, Willsboro, died at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004.

She was born in Westport on Feb. 12, 1930, the daughter of Harry and Margreet (Lawrence) LaPine.

Marion graduated from Westport Central School, retired from Tambrands Manufacturing in Willsboro and was an avid sports fan who followed the local school’s teams. She loved to play cards, especially pinochle, and she loved to bowl.

She is survived by her children, John and Laura Lee of Willsboro; Terry and Sandy Lee of Athena, Ore.; Carlton and Susanne Lee of Sandston, Va., and Tim and Lynn Lee of Lewis; by her grandchildren Jason, Andrew, Todd, Celeste, Kevin and Matthew; great-grandchildren Mason, Taylor and Hunter; a brother, Harry (Puss) and Claire LaPine of Essex; a dear friend, Marie Cross of Willsboro; and her pets, Peppie, the dog; and Tinker, the cat.

Marion was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Lee, in 2002, and her brother, Milton (Sonny), in 2004.

Calling hours will be 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at the Huestis Funeral Home in Willsboro. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Memorial Cemetery, Lakeshore Road, Willsboro. In lieu of flowers, memorials Marion’s memory may be made to the Willsboro Booster Club, c/o Robin Pierce, Jersey Street, Box 327, Essex, NY, 12936.

Thelma M. Mayville

PLATTSBURGH — Thelma M. Mayville, 82, of the Mahoney Road in the Town of Winthrop, died on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh after fighting a heroic battle with cancer.

She was surrounded by family and friends.

Thelma devoted her life as a homemaker to gardening, baking, baby-sitting. She was an avid quilter whose generosity of giving was selfless.

She was a devoted daughter to Thomas Perry and Lora (Jock) Perry of Bombay, N.Y. In 1940, Thelma was married to Angus J. Mayville in North Bangor. They were married for 41 years before Angus died in September 1981.

Thelma was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters: Grace, Lloyd, Hazel, Muriel, Frances, Millard, Lloyd and Sheldon. She leaves behind her children: Helen (Mayville) and Cecil Bumgardner of Gastonia, N.C.; Phyllis Adams of Columbus, Ohio; Norma (Mayville) and John Homburger of Morrisonville; Marion Hudson of Gastonia, N.C.; Alyceon Horton of Plattsburgh and John Mayville of Plattsburgh.

Surviving grandchildren are: Julie Stockton, Andrea Carter, Leigh and Kevin Hudson, Lanelle Barnhart, Sara and Kaela Homburger and Alexis Sanders as well as several great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004. Interment will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Brasher Falls on Wednesday, Dec. 8.

Donations in Thelma’s memory may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center at CVPH Medical Center, Plattsburgh.

ANTHONY E. LINCK, 85, of 8 Bushey Blvd. in Plattsburgh, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Constableville on Jan. 28, 1919, the son of Anthony A. and Clara J. (Schwenk) Linck.

Calling hours and funeral arrangements are incomplete at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home as of Sunday evening.
