Orville F. Trombley

CHAMPLAIN — Orville F. Trombley, 88, life-time resident of Champlain, N.Y., passed away at the Cedar Hedge Nursing Home in Rouses Point, N.Y., on Nov. 30, 2004, surrounded by loved ones.

He was born in Champlain, N.Y., Sept. 18, 1916, the son of Leon and Ruth (Fifield) Trombley.

He is survived by his six children, George and Cindy Bombardier of Rouses Point, Marsha Trombley Kuhn of Burlington, Vt., Larry and Jenny Trombley of Anderson, S.C., Perry and Melody Trombley of Champlain, Joey Trombley and Maggie Ryan of Chazy and Dale and Lisa Cardin of Rouses Point. He has 13 grandchildren, Haley Kamp, Chantelle Bombardier, Robert Bombardier, Laura Vieth, Matthew Trombley, Amanda Walter, Ashley Walter, Avery Trombley, Gaelan Trombley, Sagan Trembley, Maura Trombley, Kevin Cardin and Thomas Cardin; and four great-grandchildren, Teagan Mesec, Chase Mesec, Phoenix Havens and Garrett Cardin. He is also survived by two brothers, Hubert Trombley of Rouses Point and Donald Trombley of Eugene, Ore.; and six sisters, Rita Roberts of Champlain, Annabelle Ashline of Champlain, Ethel Harvey of Lockport, N.Y., Bernice Barcomb of Champlain, Doris Neale of Rouses Point and Pauline Roberts of Champlain; along with many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his wife, Noella (Trudeau); his parents; and three sisters, Dorothy, Mae and Helen.

He was the founder and owner of Northern Blacktopping, a long-time republican committeeman and a member of the IDA Board. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards and visiting with friends and family.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the M.B. Clark Funeral Home in Champlain, N.Y. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church in Champlain.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Academy in Champlain, N.Y., or Cedar Hedge Activity Fund in Rouses Point, N.Y.

Yvonne Tallman

Merrill — Yvonne Tallman, 79, of Blanch Road., Merrill died Nov. 30, 2004, at the Clinton County Nursing Home, Plattsburgh, N.Y.

Born in Lyon Mountain, N.Y., on Jan. 17, 1925, she was the daughter of Desford and Minerva (Gadway) Bruso.

She was married to Eber Tallman on July 4, 1942, in Brainardsville, N.Y. He predeceased her on Nov. 27, 2000.

Mrs. Tallman is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Sylvia Tallman of El Paso, Texas; four daughters and a son-in-law, Laurelie Tallman and companion James LaMountain of Lyon Mountain, Sarah McDonald of Merrill, Judy (Green) Tallman of Chester, Conn., Marie and Daniel Hooghouse of Apopka, Fla.; six granddaughters, Lori, Karen and Amy Green, Sandra Tallman and Holly and Mecehelle Hooghouse and companion Bryan Ferrer; a grandson, Matthew and his wife Gina McDonald; two great-grandsons, Niko Tallman and Jaxson McDonald; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Dorthy and David Brooks, Lolita Krauss and Gail and Gerry Carriere; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Barbara Bruso and Dennis and Wilda Bruso; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Kathy Tallman of Roswell, N.M.

Besides her husband she was predeceased by her parents; a daughter, Lisa; a grandson, David; three sisters, Maida Peets, Zaida Rivers and Arleen Harris; and three brothers, Ivan, Galen and Harold Bruso.

She was a member of the High Banks Seventh Day Adventist Church.

There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Sunday at the church in Saranac, N.Y. Burial will be at the convenience of the family, at Eastside Cemetery, Chateaugay, N.Y.

Arrangements are with the Chateaugay Funeral Home.

Richard J. Lipke

Keeseville — Richard J. "Dick" Lipke, 60, of Morrow Lane, Keeseville, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., June 25, 1944, the son of Charles J. and Helen (Hertwich) Lipke.

Dick worked for 31 years for Pepsi-Cola in Pittsburgh, Pa., and Keeseville, N.Y., he was a paper carrier for the Press-Republican and was especially known for driving the Nutrition Site bus.

He very much enjoyed his family and helping people. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Survivors include his wife, Betty R. (Giddings) Lipke of Keeseville; his mother; of Pittsburgh, Pa.; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Rick Jr. and Audrey Lipke of Pittsburgh, Pa., Kevin Lipke of Michigan and Chuck Lipke of Keeseville; two daughters, Lynn Lipke of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Christina Giddings Lipke of Keeseville; two brothers, Jim Lipke of Georgia and Lawrence Lipke of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father; one brother, Charles Lipke; and two sisters, Kathy Lipke and Carol Lipke.

Calling hours will be held Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville. A memorial Mass will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. John's Church in Keeseville with Monsignor Leeward J. Poissant, pastor, celebrating.

Helen L. LeBednik

Mineville — Helen L. LeBednik, 72, of Liberty Street, Mineville, N.Y., died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt.

She was born Aug. 28, 1932, in Port Henry, N.Y., the daughter of Alton and Anna (Scorsome) Wallace.

Helen was a volunteer for High Peaks Hospice in Mineville.

She is survived by her two daughters, Regina and John DeZalia and Linda and Joseph Whalen; her son, John and Barbara LeBednik; her grandchildren, Irving Mauran, Howard Mauran, Mea and Steve Stahl and Heather DeZalia; her great-grandchildren, Jonathan Stahl, Mauranda Stahl and Logan Mauran; her sister, Sandra Urban; her sister-in-law, Agnes Loughlin; several nieces and nephews; and her ever faithful and loving friends in Grover Hills; and beloved cat, Sammy.

She is predeceased by her husband, John LeBednik; her parents, Alton and Anna Wallace; her sisters, Lillie Haggett and Doreen Wallace; her brother, Thomas Wallace; and her companion Louis Ida.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Church of All Saints in Mineville. Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Mineville.

Donations may be made in memory of Helen to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or to High Peaks Hospice, Mineville, N.Y.

Leo F. Lacey

PLATTSBURGH — Leo F Lacey, age 88, of Plattsburgh, N.Y., formerly of Toms River and Keansburg, N.J. died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care, Vt.

He worked for Chrysler and New Jersey Bell Telephone for many years before retiring some time ago. He enjoyed prospecting for gold and other precious metals.

He served his country in the Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater with the 391 infantry he was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant.

Born in Brooklyn he lived in Keansburg and Toms River, N.J., for many years recently moving to Plattsburgh N.Y.

He is predeceased by his wife of 51 years Jane (Murphy) Lacey in 2000; his children, Maureen, Marie and Robert; a brother, Thomas; and sisters, Agnes and Marie.

Surviving are a brother, Wilfred Lacey; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were held Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at the John P. Condon Funeral Home, 804 St. Highway 36, Leonardo, NJ 07737. A funeral Mass will be held Thursday morning at St. Ann's Church, Carr Ave, Keansburg, N.J., at 9:15 a.m. The Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Middletown, N.J.

Janice E. Supernaw

Elizabethtown — Janice Supernaw, 71, of Elizabethtown, N.Y., died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, in Burlington, Vt.

She was born in Elizabethtown, N.Y., Oct. 26, 1933, the daughter of Harry and Elizabeth (Parker) DeLorenzo.

Janice was a cook at the Elizabethtown Hospital for 27 years and has been a member of the hospital auxiliary for many years.

She is survived by one son, Tim Supernaw of Lewis; two daughters, Robin Supernaw of Elizabethtown and Angela Supernaw of Norwalk, Conn.; a sister, Helen Trombley and her cornpanion Jim McGregor of Gansevoort, N.Y.; a brother, Mike DeLorenzo of Plattsburgh; a granddaughter, Augusta Janice Welch of Elizabethtown; a sister-in-law, Jean DeLorenzo; two nieces, Anne and Diana; a nephew, Michael all of Augusta, Ga.

A brother, Harry DeLorenzo died earlier.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the United Church of Christ in Elizabethtown. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the United Church of Christ or the Elizabethtown Hospital Auxiliary.

Richard J. Jacobs, 81, of State Route 122, Westville, N.Y., died unexpectedly, Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at his home.

Born in Owls Head, N.Y., June 3, 1923, he was the son of the late Charles and Mina (White) Jacobs.

There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Helen's Cemetery in Chasm Falls, N.Y. Arrangements are through the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service, Inc. of Malone, N.Y.

WARREN F. BRUCE, 74, of Greenwood Apartments died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at the Adirondack Medical Center, Saranac Lake.

He was born Aug. 18, 1930, in Black Brook the son of Earl and Nellie (Moody) Bruce.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home, AuSable Forks. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home and burial will follow in the family plot at Mountainview Cemetery, Upper Jay.
