Published: 11/21/04Kenneth G. BoyeaPlattsburgh — Kenneth G. Boyea, 90, of Pine Street, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Ellenburg Center, on April 6, 1914, the son of Gilbert and Dorothy (LaBombard) Boyea. Mr. Boyea was a member of St. Peter's Church. He was also a member of the Chazy Appleknockers Baseball Team in the 1940s. He was a former member of the Plattsburgh Elks Club and the Elks Club Pool League. Kenneth enjoyed bowling, playing cards, bingo and golfing. He married the former Marjorie King in 1954 at the East Beekmantown Methodist Church. Marjorie died in 1978. Kenneth worked at Pal Blade for 20 years and later worked at Hydro Molding for 22 years, retiring in 1976. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Nancy) Baker Sr. of Rouses Point; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Royce (Marie) Butchino, Mrs. Wendell (Renee) Rock and Mrs. Larry (Susan) Moore, all of Plattsburgh; one brother, Douglas Boyea and his wife Ruthe of New Britain, Conn.; one sister, Ruth Legier of Plattsburgh; two grandsons, Richard Baker Jr. of Boston, Mass., and Brian Baker of South Bend, Ind.; six stepgrandchildren, Darren, Corinne, Dwayne, Lisa, Lori and Larry; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Public calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held that same evening at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country or the FitzPatrick Cancer Center. Anna M. CarterSARANAC — Anna M. Carter, 63, of the Bressette Road, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, at Glens Falls Hospital. Mrs. Carter was born on March 10, 1941, in Saranac, the daughter of William and Rosamay (Reyell) Bechore. She married Oswald Carter at the Church of the Assumption in Redford in 1960. Mrs. Carter was a member of the Church of the Assumption. She loved to cook and play bingo and her hobbies were crocheting and knitting. Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Julieann Carter of Tampa, Fla.; three brothers, William Bechore of Dannemora, Richard Bechore of Lake Placid and Harold Bechore and his wife Shirley of Plant City, Fla.; one sister, Rosalee Snyder and her husband Larry of Bloomingdale; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Two sons, Shawn E. Carter and Shannon J. Carter; and a sister, Caroline Kurtz, all died earlier. Calling hours will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption followed by burial in the parish cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Assumption of Mary Memorial Fund. Christopher Q. CabanaWinchester, Mass. — Christopher Q. Cabana of Winchester, Mass., died on Nov. 11, 2004. He was born on April 15, 1967. Beloved husband of Susan D. (Dwyer) Cabana. Loving father of Sarah, Emma and Rachel Cabana. Dear son of the late Francis F. and Lillian Cabana. Devoted brother of Francis F. Jr. and his wife Ellen of Queensbury, N.Y., Jocelyn Ryan and her husband Kevin of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., Larry and his wife Marti of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and Bruce and his wife Cindy of Glens Falls, N.Y. Devoted son-in-law of Concetta and Robert Dwyer of Short Hills, N.J. Dear brother-in-law of Rebecca Morano and her husband Kevin and Maureen Griffith and her husband Ashley, all of Summit, N.J. Also survived by 18 nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives attended visiting hours on Sunday, Nov. 14th, and the funeral on Monday from the Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main St. (Rte. 38), Winchester, Mass., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Mary's Church, Winchester. Interment at WiIdwood Cemetery, Winchester. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Christopher Cabana Scholarship Fdtn., c/o St. Anselm College, 100 Saint Anselm Dr., Manchester, NH 03102. Mary Magee Hale, 94, of Keene, N.Y., died Nov. 18, 2004. A memorial service will be held at the Keene Valley Congregational Church on Saturday, Dec. 4th, at noon. W.M. Marvin's Sons Funeral Home in Elizabethtown is in charge of arrangements. Richard G. Wells, 70, of Electric Avenue in Loon Lake, N.Y., died Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Facility in Burlington, Vt. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. |
