Published: 10/31/04Michael J. ImhoffSchuyler Falls — Michael J. Imhoff, 54, of the Felton Road, Schuyler Falls, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at the Fletcher Allen Healthcare Center in Burlington, Vt. He was born in Dannemora, Sept. 26, 1950, the son of Fredrick James and Mary Helen (Agoney) Imhoff. He served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army. Michael was employed at Walker International in Plattsburgh. He enjoyed motorcycles, especially his Harley Davidson and snowmobiling. He very much enjoyed taking his grandchildren four-wheeling and spending time with all of his family. Michael will be dearly missed and always remembered for his loyalty to his friends and family and his never-ending sense of humor that always made people smile. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Scott DiOrio of Morrisonville; a son, Stephen Imhoff and companion Sara Mousseau of Peru; two grandchildren, Damian and Benjermin DiOrio; brothers and sisters, Sonny Imhoff of Florida, Wanda "Pat" Cato of Tennessee, Rodney Imhoff of Pennsylvania, Delena Kaatz of Michigan, Roger Imhoff of Plattsburgh, Mary Allen of Peasleeville, Dave Imhoff of Peasleeville, Barbara Parrott of Florida, Dennis Imhoff of Pennsylvania and Robert "Bobby" Imhoff of Plattsburgh; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 33 years, Deborah A. Imhoff, who died Aug. 16, 2003; his parents; a sister, Sylvia Imhoff; and brothers Gerald Imhoff, Jeff Imhoff and Leon "Eddie" Imhoff. Calling hours will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the West Chazy Rural Cemetery in West Chazy with Rev. William Reamer, chaplain of the CVPH Medical Center, officiating. Military honors will follow. Donations in his memory may be made to the Saranac Trail Groomers Snowmobile Club. Raymond J. Lynch Jr.PLATTSBURGH — Raymond James Lynch Jr., 67, of Plattsburgh, died unexpectedly on Friday, Oct. 29, 2004. He was born in the Bronx, New York City, on April 8, 1937, the son of the late Raymond James Lynch Sr., and Dorothy Virginia Russo. Survivors include his devoted wife of 44 years, Betty Royal Lynch; one daughter, Dawn de Grandpré and her husband Chris of Rouses Point, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Dawn Elizabeth Haring and her husband Scott of Mansfield, Mass., and Christopher B. de Grandpré II and his wife Amanda of Cumberland Head. Two brothers and one sister also survive Mr. Lynch, Kenneth Lynch and his wife Helen of Valley Stream, N.Y., and Gerry Russo and his wife Christine of Pensacola, Fla.; and a sister, Darlene Caruana and her husband Sal, residents of Westfield, N.J. Mr. Lynch is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Raymond Lynch was a graduate of Yorktown Heights High School, Mount Kisco, N.Y. Mr. Lynch served six years in the U.S. Air Force, being honorably discharged in Plattsburgh in 1962. Mr. Lynch was employed by the George Moore Truck and Equipment Corporation for 40 years until his retirement in 1999. Mr. Lynch was a devoted member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed many summer visits to St. Anne's Shrine, Isle La Motte, Vt. Since retirement, he enjoyed gardening, antiquing and many pleasant adventures to the southern Maine coast. Ray was a life member of the Plattsburgh Rod and Gun Club, the National Rifle Association and the American Legion. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Most of all Ray enjoyed spending time with his family and in particular his six great-grandchildren, Madeline, Chris, David, Nolan, Sam and Charlotte. Ray, "Poppy" as he was affectionately known by family and friends, will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. There will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the convenience of the family at St. Peter's Church with burial in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh. Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. Jeramie Lee DavisonMooers Forks — Jeramie Lee Davison, 22, of Mooers Forks, died on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, as the result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born in Plattsburgh on July 25, 1982, the son of Jeffrey and Laura (Boutin) Davison. He graduated from Northeastern Clinton Central School and attended Clinton Community College and was employed at UPS and Staples. Jeramie enjoyed playing Sunday League Softball, watching sports and working on his computer. He was a Boston Celtics fan and got to see his Red Sox win the World Series. He is survived by his fiancée, Dawn Manor; his parents, Jeffrey and Laura (Boutin) Davison; a brother, Joshua Davison and his fiancée Christina LeMieux; his maternal grandparents, Frank and Hortense Boutin of Mooers Forks; his paternal grandparents, Ernest and Betty Jean Sample of Mooers and Helen Davison of Chazy; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Bernard Davison; and great-uncle Bernard Bechard. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Mooers. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Tuesday from St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Pearl Lodenia GoodroeTiconderoga — Pearl Lodenia Goodroe, 84, of Ticonderoga, passed away Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at the Moses-Ludington Nursing Home of Ticonderoga. She was born in Burlington, Vt., on Dec. 28, 1919, the daughter of the late Napolean and Mabel Fregon. Mrs. Goodroe was a lifelong Ticonderoga resident. She was very active at the nursing home and she enjoyed socializing with the other residents. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon J. Goodroe, in 1991. Survivors include one son, Randy G. Goodroe of Arkansas; two daughters, Barbara A. Robb of Mason, N.H., and Donna Blowers of Crown Point. She is also survived by many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and her friends, Harold McGuinness Jr. and Diane Howard. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wilcox & Regan funeral home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga. A funeral
service will take place Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. The
Rev. William G. Muench, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of
Ticonderoga, will officiate.
John E. "Jack" Merrow, 94, of Westport, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, at the Horace Nye Nursing Home in Elizabethtown. He was born in Westport, July 19, 1910, the son of Lewis and Ellen (Couchey) Merrow. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Westport.
