Warren E. Breyette Jr.

Plattsburgh — Mr. Warren E. Breyette Jr., 68, of Erin Avenue, Plattsburgh, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center surrounded by his family, following a short battle with cancer.

He was born in Plattsburgh on March 7, 1936, the son of Warren E. and Eva (Bonneau) Breyette Sr. Warren retired from the Plattsburgh City School District in 1991. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching NASCAR. He was a member of St. Peter's Church.

Warren was predeceased by his parents, Warren and Eva Breyette; and his sister, Simone Taylor.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gloria (Baker) Breyette of Plattsburgh; a son, Warren E. Breyette III and his companion, Penny Leonard of West Chazy; two daughters, Gloria Henaghan and her husband Thomas of Beartown and Barbara Breyette and her companion Patrick Esposita of Coxsackie; his sisters, Helen Foy of Philadelphia, Pa., Sylvia Macey of Plattsburgh, Shirley Breyette of Plattsburgh and Mildred Ferraris and her husband Richard of Waynesboro, Va.; his brothers, Robert Breyette and his wife Loretta of West Chazy, Thomas Breyette of Glasco, N.Y., and Donald Breyette and his wife Mona of Freedon, Pa; his grandchildren, Laurie Dwyer, Ryan Henaghan, Travis, Kyle and Joey Myers and Jennifer Townsend; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. from St. Peter's Church.

Interment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery.

Friends wishing may have Masses said in his memory or give to the charity of one's choice.

Theresa Kathleen Delanoy

Catskill, N.Y. — Theresa Kathleen Delanoy, 51, formerly of South Cairo, N.Y., died Oct. 13, 2004, at her residence in Catskill, N.Y.

She was born in New York City, Oct. 3, 1953, and is the daughter of Wallace and Theodora (Wegman) Higgins of Clover, S.C.

Funeral services will take place on Friday at 2 p.m. at Richards Funeral Home, Bross Street, Cairo, N.Y., with Rev. J. Nunan, pastor of the Sacred Heart Church of Cairo, officiating.

Interment will follow in the family plot of the St. Patrick's Cemetery, Catskill.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her son, Robert Delanoy III of Las Vegas, Nev.; four sisters, Maryann Finch of Kingston, N.Y., Rita Carr of Chateaugay, N.Y., Doris Graham of South Cairo and Helen Rogers of South Carolina.

Theresa is predeceased by her husband, Robert Delanoy II; and her brother, Wallace M. Higgins in 1979.

Theresa has been an area resident for the past 41 years. She was a graduate of the Catskill High School. She loved to dress, was very artistic and loved sewing; she made her own wedding gown.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours at Richards Funeral Home, Bross Street, Cairo, on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m., one hour prior to the funeral service at 2 p.m.

Brandon S.J. Fountain

Plainfield, Conn. — Brandon S.J. Fountain, 22, of 7 Sixth St., died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, in Plainfield, Conn.

He was born Sept. 19, 1982, in Plattsburgh, the beloved son of Patrick S. Fountain of Cadyville, N.Y., and Robyn (Knapp) Fountain of Plainfield, Conn.

Brandon had lived most of his life in Plattsburgh, N.Y., and Plainfield. He was last employed as a cook at Ruby Tuesday's in Lisbon, Conn. Brandon was a very creative and talented artist. He is deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed.

Besides his parents, he leaves two sisters, Sarah Fountain and Kristen Hutchinson, both of Plainfield; his stepfather, Carl Hutchinson; his paternal great-grandmother, Jennie Miller; paternal grandmother, Theresa Fountain; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Helen Knapp; also many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be celebrated Friday at 5 p.m. at Dougherty Bros. Funeral Home, 595 Norwich Rd., Plainfield, Conn. Burial is private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Vesta Bashaw

Clintonville — Vesta Bashaw, 78, of Route 9N, Clintonville, passed into the arms of the Lord, surrounded by her family and caregivers, on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at her home.

Vesta was born July 19, 1926, in Ellenburg Center, the daughter of Harold D. and Anna Hazel (Gilmore) Coolidge.

She enjoyed working in her flower garden and giving articles of clothing to different organizations for people in need. Vesta loved her home and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. Her special pet was her golden retriever, "Tilly".

Survived by her husband, Oril Bashaw, whom she married Oct. 14, 1947, at the Methodist Parsonage in Jay; two sons, Toby Bashaw and his companion Elizabeth Hendrix of Massachusetts and Brian Bashaw and his wife Patty Demeo of Plattsburgh; a daughter, Cathy and Ron Kodra of Tennessee; six grandchildren, Nathan, Jonas, Molly, Korey, Evan and Austin; four great-grandchildren, Marissa, Robert, Cameron and Logan; two brothers, William Coolidge of Florida and Robert Coolidge of California; three sisters, Margaret Gilroy of California, Virginia Palmatier of New York and Helen Coolidge of Vermont; also several nieces and nephews.

Vesta was predeceased by her parents; and a sister, Carol Coolidge.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service and burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Memorials to her may be made to the FitzPatrick Cancer Center, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.

Anita Karl Hart

Statesboro, Ga. — Mrs. Anita Karl Hart, 43, died Wednesday morning, Oct. 13, 2004, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The Queens County, New York native attended schools in Willsboro, N.Y. She lived in New York then to Lake Placid before moving to Statesboro in 2002.

Anita loved the outdoors, hiking, camping, reading and was passionate about all types of animals. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, Robbie Hart of Statesboro; a daughter, Ashley Preston of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a son, Skye Manchester of Evanston, Wyo.; her mother, Brigitte Karl of Port Richey, Fla.; her father, Henry Karl of Lake Placid, N.Y.; and a brother, Andre Karl of Lake Placid, N.Y.

Memorial services will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home, 502 Miller St., Statesboro, with Rev. Hollie Tapley officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Anita’s ashes will be spread over Marcy Dam in New York.

Rena Loretta Pratt

Plattsburgh — Rena Loretta (Lou) Pratt, 75, of Evergreen Valley Nursing Home, Plattsburgh and Rose Avenue, Rouses Point, N.Y., died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, at CVPH Medical Center.

She was born in Arthur, Ky., Dec. 23, 1928, the daughter of Fred and Hallie (Stice) Skaggs.

Mrs. Pratt was a member of Three Steeples Methodist Church and the Disabled American Veteran's Auxiliary.

In previous years, Mrs. Pratt was a well-known seamstress, sewing for family, friends and others. She taught sewing class for Clinton Community College in the local area for a short time. She was a stay at home mom raising 10 children.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Jean Phillips of Michigan; 7 children, Shirley Niemiec of Massachusetts, Barbara Castine of Florida, Audrey Chapman of California, Linda Fosher of Rouses Point, N.Y., Glenn Pratt of Massachusetts, Anna Bourdon of St. Albans, Vt., and Laverne Virgile, Pennsylvania; and a special family member, Jacqueline Colgan of New York. Also surviving her are many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; and her close friend, Theresa Supley; and the many staff at Evergreen Nursing Home who cared and loved her the past two years. As well as the wonderful staff of the Dialysis Unit who has cared for her for many years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth H. Pratt; her sons, Edward L. Gross and Curtis R. Pratt; and daughter Mary C. Laporte Guastella; sisters Mamie Lowery, Mary Bell Sutton; and brother Ruben Edmon Skaggs.

Calling hours will be at the Clark Funeral Home in Champlain, N.Y., on Friday from 7 to 9:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Three Steeples Church, Route 11, Champlain. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Rouses Point.

Donations in her memory may be made to Evergreen Nursing Home, 8 Bushey Avenue, Plattsburgh, NY 12901 or the H. F. Renal Center, 91 Plaza Blvd., Plattsburgh, NY 12901.

Herbert F. Fletcher, 75, formerly of 101 Clinton Ave., Saranac Lake, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at the Adirondack Medical Center at Saranac Lake.

He was born in Vermontville, N.Y., on Sept. 24, 1929, the son of William and Effie (Simpson) Fletcher.

Visitation will be held at Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A veteran’s service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Church of St. Luke the Beloved Physician in Saranac Lake with Rev. Fredrick Dennis officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Vermontville.

Rev. Frederick R. O’Neil, 51, of Hope Mills, N.C., died Aug. 17, 2004, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, N.C.

He was born in Ticonderoga on Oct. 17, 1952, the son of Ray and Faith (McMurtry) O’Neil.

Funeral services were held on Aug. 19 at the First Baptist Church in Fayetteville, N.C.
