"Angel Bear" Goddeau, 26, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, surrounded by her loving family, after a long courageous battle with a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy, Friedreich’s Ataxia. She was born in Plattsburgh on Oct. 17, 1977, the daughter of Donald "Bonhomme" and Brenda (Garrow) Goddeau. Sara will be most remembered for her love of animals. She also enjoyed, bingo, her computer and spending time with her family. She is survived by her parents, Donna and Brenda Goddeau of Beekmantown; her companion, Oscar Grice of Dannemora; and her best friend, her boxer, Kiana Ray; her maternal grandmother, Joan Garrow of Dannemora; her sister, Dawn Elise Goddeau and her companion Bill Perry of Redford; a very special niece she helped raise from birth to present, Cheyenne Joslin Goddeau of Dannemora; her brother, Mark Goddeau of Beekmantown; her god parents, Carl and Gloria Goddeau of Cadyville; many aunts; uncles; cousins; and special friends including her tutor, Beth Grafals; her cardiologist, Dr. John Baker; and her many caregivers. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Albert and Catherine Goddeau of Cadyville; and maternal grandfather, Joseph E. Garrow of Dannemora. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the O’Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Wednesday from St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or to the family. ROBERT F. ASHLAW, 74, of State Route 30, Malone, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at Alice Hyde Medical Center. Born Dec. 6, 1928, in Malone, the son of Walter and Luella Stone Ashlaw. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. A memorial gathering will be held at the Tamarack Inn at a later date and will be announced. Jared R. Provost, 18, of Provost Lane, Cadyville died on Monday, Oct. 11, 2004, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born in Plattsburgh on Feb. 3, 1986, son of Russell C. and Kim M. (O'Connell) Provost. Calling hours will be Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Park Row, Cadyville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, at 10 a.m. from St. James Minor Church in Cadyville. A complete obituary will appear in Wednesday's Press- Republican. Anita Louise Lovell, of the Fairy Lake Road, Moriah died Monday, Oct. 11, 2004, at her home. She was born in New York City on Aug. 29, 1916, the daughter of Charles F. and Katherine (Schemmer) Koch. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home, Port Henry. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. |
