Sara L. Goddeau

DANNEMORA — Sara L. "Angel Bear" Goddeau, 26, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with muscular dystrophy.

She was born in Plattsburgh on Oct. 17, 1977, the daughter of Donald and Brenda (Garrow) Goddeau.

Sara was an animal lover and enjoyed bingo and her computer.

She is survived by her parents, Donald and Brenda Goddeau of Beekmantown; her maternal grandmother, Joan Garrow of Dannemora; her companion, Oscar Grice of Dannemora; her brother, Mark Goddeau of Beekmantown; her sister, Dawn Elise Goddeau and companion, Bill Perry of Redford; her godparents, Carl and Gloria Goddeau of Cadyville; a special niece she raised from birth to present, Cheyenne Joslin Goddeau of Dannemora; many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends, including her tutor, Beth Grafals; her cardiologist, Dr. John Baker; her many caregivers; and her best friend, her boxer, Kiana.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the O’Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday from St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or to the family.

MARTHA E. MUZZY, age 78, formerly of 14 Kiwassa Rd., Saranac Lake, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at the Uihlein Mercy Center in Lake Placid.

Born in Vermontville, N.Y., on May 5, 1926, she was the daughter of Lorenzo and Metta (Skeels) Muzzy.

Calling hours will be held at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, Inc., on Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Vermontville.

LAURA DUFRANE, 88, of Plattsburgh, died on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Churubusco on May 25, 1916, daughter of Adolph and Emma (Babbeau) LeClair Jr.

Calling hours and funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Brown Funeral Home, Inc.
