Published: 10/30/04Gertrude F. ProvostPLATTSBURGH — Gertrude F. Provost, 83, died Friday, October 8, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. Born in Plattsburgh on April 28, 1921, she was the daughter of Orville and Mildred (Renadette) Bell. Her husband, Victor J. Provost, died before her on July 17, 2000. She loved her family and was especially fond of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include six sons, Carl Sr. and his wife Sharon of Plattsburgh, Rodney and his wife Rae of Plattsburgh, Gary S. and his wife Perry of Plattsburgh, Kevin Sr. of Plattsburgh, Daniel of Rochester and James and his wife Neva of Plattsburgh; a daughter, Cheryl Daniels and her husband Terry of West Chazy; two brothers, Herman Bell and his wife Valida and Clifton Bell and his wife Deanna, both of Plattsburgh; two sisters, Winifred King of Plattsburgh and Lorretta Rabideau of Rochester; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Monday, October 11, 2004, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the O’Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. from St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to the Leukemia Foundation. Joyce M. MinogueClintonville — Joyce M. Minogue, 69, of Route 9N, Clintonville passed away Oct. 9, 2004, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in AuSable Forks, on Aug. 17, 1935, the daughter of Patrick H. and Lila T. (Sawyer) Rhino. She was predeceased by her husbands, Thomas W. Hathaway and Leonard E. Richards; and her brother, Paul Patrick Rhino. Joyce is survived by her husband, James E. Minogue of Clintonville; a sister, Betty Ryno of AuSable Forks; and a brother, William Rhino of AuSable Forks; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas W. and Tammy Hathaway; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Martin Cumber and Kathryn and Thomas Cooper; her stepchildren, Robert and Mary Minogue, William and Shawn Minogue, Jan and Jake Rafferty and Marilyn and Larry Plishka; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Holy Name Catholic Church in AuSable Forks. Interment will follow in Jay Central Cemetery, Jay. A gathering of family and friends will take place at Jim and Joyces’ home in Clintonville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Keeseville Rescue Squad or North Country Hospice. Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Milton L. Passno, 96, of Main Street, Peru, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Peru, Feb. 20, 1908, the son of Levi and Mary (Annis) Passno. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at God's Acre Cemetery in Peru with Pastor David Drake, pastor of the Good Shepard Church of the Nazarene in Keeseville, officiating. Arrangements are by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. Mary Etta Gonyea, 83, of Route 3, Saranac Lake, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at the Adirondack Medical Center. She was born in Saranac Lake, N.Y., on April 26, 1921, the daughter of Alfred and Cora (LaPiere) Bernard. Calling hours will be at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. A Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary service will take place at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. A funeral service will immediately follow. Interment will take place in Brookside Cemetery at the convenience of the family. |
