Mary Avery

Plattsburgh — Miss Mary Avery, 70, of Military Turnpike, Plattsburgh, passed away Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center.

She was born in Malone, N.Y., on Dec. 8, 1933, the daughter of Lawrence and Viola (Paquin) Avery.

Mary enjoyed shopping, gardening and looking beautiful.

She was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Viola Avery.

Mary is survived by three sisters, Charlotte Butler and her husband Bud of Clayburg, Fran Duprey and her husband Ronnie of Saranac and Gloria Bouvia of Ellenburg Center; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be at the convenience of the family.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption in Redford.

Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.

Wilfred J. Bowen, 73, of Massena, N.Y., and formerly of Fort Covington and Moira, N.Y., died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, N.Y. He had been a resident of the Alice Hyde Nursing Home.

He was born in Chateaugay, N.Y., on Sept. 28, 1931, the son of the late Isaac and Anne (Eno) Bowen.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cappiello-McKenzie and Cosgrove Funeral Home in Fort Covington. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Fort Covington, with the Rev. Stephen Rocker officiating. Burial will be in the old St. Mary's Cemetery in Fort Covington.

Alden A. Favro, 86, of Bartlett, Tenn., died Oct. 4, 2004, at Methodist Germantown Hospital.

Services were held on Thursday at the Memphis Funeral Home, Germantown Parkway Chapel, in Tennessee. Burial will be in Memory Hill Gardens.
