Published: 10/6/04Francis H. KingChazy Lake — Francis H. King, 69, of Chazy Lake died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. Born in Chazy Lake on March 9, 1935, he was the son of Harold and Hazel (Perry) King. Frank married his wife of 48 years, Kathleen (Rebideau), on June 6, 1956. He was an avid outdoorsman. His hobbies included ski-dooing, four wheeling, ice fishing, hunting, playing horseshoes and running heavy equipment. Frank retired in 1990 from Clinton Correctional Facility as maintenance supervisor. He enjoyed his coffee-shop friends during his early morning ritual and enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, especially his dog, Willie, his faithful companion. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen of Chazy Lake; his five children, Jeffery King and his companion Donna Williams of Chazy Lake, Susan Glaude and her companion Mike Perrin of Ellenburg Depot, Carol and Dale Mason of Chazy Lake, Sharon and Howard Relation of Sciota and Scott King of Chazy Lake; a sister, Joan Martin of Plattsburgh; his mother-inlaw, Leona Rebideau of Chazy Lake; and his six grandchildren, Eric and Brandon Glaude, Mike and Bryan Mason and Dustin and Kristin Relation. He is predeceased by his parents; and a granddaughter, Rebecca Relation. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Ellenburg Depot. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday from St. Edmund’s Church in Ellenburg. Burial will follow in Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens in Ellenburg Depot. Christopher Joseph BarnhartTiconderoga — Christopher Joseph Barnhart, 24, of Amherst Avenue, Ticonderoga, passed away suddenly on Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Fla., where he was a student. Born in Plattsburgh, July 3, 1980, he was the son of William W. Barnhart and Karen F. Barnhart of Ticonderoga and the late Judith Barnhart. Chris was a 1999 graduate of Mountainside Christian Academy of Schroon Lake. He graduated from Word of Life Bible Institute in 2001. He then earned an associate’s degree from North Country Community College graduating in 2003. He was presently attending Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Fla., where he was pursuing a bachelors degree in business administration. He has been a Ticonderoga resident for most of his life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ticonderoga where he served as head usher. He was also a frequent volunteer at the Church’s Vacation Bible School. Chris was employed by McDonald’s Restaurant of Ticonderoga for six years. He especially enjoyed traveling with his family in their motor home and was a NASCAR enthusiast. Survivors include his parents, William W. and Karen F. (Bailey) Barnhart of Ticonderoga; two brothers, Michael W. Barnhart and Evan D. Barnhart, both of Ticonderoga; one sister, Erika L. Barnhart of Ticonderoga; his paternal grandmother, Julia Barnhart of McClellandtown, Pa.; his maternal grandmother, Faye Storer of Ticonderoga; and his maternal grandparents, Ray and Barb Payne of Schroon Lake. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga. A funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Ticonderoga. The Rev. Lauren P. Maxson, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Valley View Cemetery of Ticonderoga. Michelle CollettClearwater, Fla. — Michelle "Mickey" Collett, 46, of Clearwater, Fla., passed away Oct. 4, 2004, at her residence. She was born in Buffalo, N.Y. Formerly of Plattsburgh, she move to Florida in 1978. Michelle worked for the Coca-Cola Company on Dunedin, Fla., for 15 years. She is survived by her mother, Paula Eurbin of Dunedin, Fla.; two sons, Christopher L. Mason and Casey L. Collett, both of Clearwater, Fla.; two sisters, Kathleen Vaughn of Clearwater, Fla., and Kelley Eurbin of Dunedin, Fla.; two brothers, Harvey Eurbin of Loganville, Ga., and Michael Eurbin of Dunedin, Fla.; and one granddaughter, Faith Michelle Mason of Clearwater, Fla. Walton Paul SpauldingCROWN POINT — Walton Paul Spaulding, 66, of Crown Point died at his home early Tuesday morning, Oct. 5, 2004. Born April 17, 1938, in Crown Point, he was the son of the late Dorres G. Spaulding and Pearl E. (Pulcipher) Spaulding, both of Crown Point. Walton served in Korea during his years of military service and graduated from the State Ranger School of Wanakena, N.Y. After graduating Walton spent two years working for the Department of Wildlife as a land surveyor in Alaska. While raising his family, Walton spent many of his years working on the family farm on Factoryville Rd. in Crown Point as well as driving school bus for Crown Point Central for 33 years. In the latter half of his life, Walton worked for the Town of Crown Point as Water Commissioner. He also worked as a housing coordinator for HAPCO for approximately five years. Walton was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying much of his relaxation time at his camp in the hills of Crown Point. Along with the love for his wife, his family was his proudest possession. He is predeceased by a sister, Lillian Spaulding. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda (Carey) Spaulding; and their four children, Richard Spaulding his wife Olga and their daughter Olga; Sarah Macey, her husband Mark and their children, Tanner and Morgan; Caleb Spaulding, his wife Tara and their children, Jonathan, Hunter and Jadan; Paula Pelkey, her husband Aaron and their son Walton, all residing in Crown Point. Survivors also include, a brother, Warren Spaulding; and sister, Elsie Osier of Crown Point; a sister, Sister Leila Spaulding of Fort Plains, N.Y.; a sister, Lucille Mason of Lancaster, Calif.; along with their families. Survivors also included, but too numerous to list, are many nieces, nephews, brother-in-law, sister-in-laws, and friends of many years, all of whom he loved and cherished. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Harland’s Funeral Home in Port Henry. A funeral Mass is planned at Sacred Heart Church in Crown Point at 10 a.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Walton Spaulding Scholarship fund at Crown Point Central School. Linda M. WhitlatchWEIRTON, W. Va. — Linda M. Whitlatch, 60, of Weirton, W. Va., died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at home. She was born Nov. 3, 1943, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., a daughter of the late William and Olive Ayotte Trombley. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Weirton and was a homemaker. Linda is survived by her husband, Robert James Whitlatch, whom she married Oct. 20, 1962, in Morrisonville, N.Y. Also surviving are her daughter, Amanda Marie Marino and her husband Jason of Weirton; two sons, Robert Galen Whitlatch and his wife Terry of Jacksonville, Ark., and Robert James Whitlatch II and his wife Marsha of Weirton; four brothers, Bernard Trombley of West Chazy, N.Y., Michael Trombley of Old Town, Fla., James Trombley of Wildwood, Fla., and Frank Trombley of Ferrisburg, Vt.; four sisters, Bertha Smith of Negley, Ohio, Margaret Sears of Cadyville, N.Y., Marie Frenyea of Gouverneur, N.Y., and Theresa Gebo of Morrisonville, N.Y.; and six grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Kenneth Trombley; and one sister, Winifred Trombley. Funeral services were held on Friday, Sept. 24, in Weirton, W. Va. Pedro Santana, 63, of Allegheny Road, Morrisonville died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center. He was born April 29, 1941, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, the son of Juan G. and Ana (Serrano) Santana. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. Marge Cluette, 84, of North Bend Street, Peru, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt. She was born in Beekmantown, June 29, 1920. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. |
