Sally M. Clapper

AuSable Forks — Sally M. Clapper, 57, of McCrae St., passed into the arms of the Lord, surrounded by her family and hospice, on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, at her home.

She was born Sept. 1, 1947, in Chazy, the daughter of Ernest and Catherine (Farr) Bosworth.

Sally was a floral designer and was employed for many years at Boires Florist in Chazy. She also was employed for several years at Perky’s Flower shop in Keeseville. Sally enjoyed making Christmas wreaths; she was a very creative person. Sally loved her three dogs, Bubba, Jasper and Lilly Belle. She and her husband moved to AuSable Forks eight years ago and made their home at the former Holy Name Convent.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Clapper, whom she married in 1976 in Cohoes; her mother, Catherine Bosworth of Saranac; four sisters, Nancy LaPierre of Canandaigua, Susan Haley of Cadyville, Betsy Terry of Schenectady and Kathy Donlick of Minoa; four brothers, Brent Bosworth of Albany, Clifton Bosworth of Saranac, Kevin Bosworth of Norwalk, Conn., and Scott Bosworth of Dannemora; two aunts, Jane Gunther of New Jersey and Avis Samble of Massachusetts; an uncle, Gerald Farr of Dannemora; and several nieces and nephews.

Sally was predeceased by her father, Ernest Bosworth; and a sister, Virginia Payne.

There will be no calling hours. Cremation will be at the Whispering Maples Crematory, Ellenburg Depot. A memorial service will be held Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at the AuSable Forks United Methodist Church, AuSable Forks, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Marty Gilbert officiating.

The Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Gary "Cappy" Grant Garrow

Kingsport, Tenn. — Gary "Cappy" Grant Garrow, 66, Kingsport, entered into rest Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center.

He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., and served in the U.S. Air Force, the Florida National Guard and the Tennessee National Guard. Mr. Garrow retired from Indian Path Medical Center where he was employed for 15 years as a security officer.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three sisters; and six brothers.

Surviving are one brother, Thomas Garrand; one sister-in-law, Irma Garrand; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date in New York.

Lionel "Lenny" Hiram DuBrey

Stanton, N.D. — Lionel "Lenny" Hiram DuBrey, 56, of Stanton, N.D., passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Sept. 28, 2004, at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen, N.D.

Lionel "Lenny" Hiram DuBrey was born Oct. 3, 1947, in Plattsburgh, N.Y. He was the son of Lionel Alfred DuBrey and Frances Mary Fisher.

Len worked as a boilermaker out of Local 11 in Helena, Mont., and retired after more than 20 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1972, in the 101st Airborne Paratrooper in Vietnam and he was a recipient of a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Paratrooper Wings. Len enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting and trapping. Len also enjoyed reading, playing cards, telling stories and most of all listening to loud country music.

Len is survived by his companion and best friend of 12 years, Cathy Easterling, Stanton, N.D.; sons, Kevin DuBrey, Thomas River, N.J., Lenny DuBrey, Albany, Chris Easterling, Minot, N.D.; daughters, Holly DuBrey, Dannemora, Autumn and Stephanie DuBrey, Plattsburgh, Lisa Easterling, Yankton, S.D., and Amy Easterling, (Tony Bailey) Minot, N.D.; grandsons, Cory and Zachary, Minot, N.D.; brother, Eugene and Anne Marie DuBrey, Plattsburgh; sisters, Mary and Darrel Bowen, Morrisonville, Cindy and Ronnie Drollette, Cadyville and Peggy and Jimmie McComb, Mooers; uncle Daniel and aunt Pat DuBrey; aunt Jean and uncle Raymond Blaine, Plattsburgh; and numerous nephews and nieces and cousins.

Len was preceded in death by his parents; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. MDT, Monday, Oct. 4th, at Seibel Funeral Home, Inc., Hazen. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Seibel Funeral Home, with Pastor Jerry Drebelbis officiating. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. CDT at the North Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery, Mandan.
