Dora R. Tyler

WEST CHAZY — Dora R. Tyler, 85, of Lake Shore Road, West Chazy, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at the Huguley Memorial Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

She was born in Ingraham, N.Y. on Dec. 18, 1918, the daughter of Jacob and Ethel (Ives) Reynolds.

Dora graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1938 and was a 60-year member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and Kathleen Tyler of Carthage, N.Y., and Wayne and Deborah Tyler of Ingraham, N.Y.; one daughter and son-in-law, Lila and Kevin Simpson of Alvarado, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Jacob and Anita Reynolds of Ingraham, N.Y.; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Fessette of Ingraham, N.Y.; four grandchildren; one greatgranddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Harrison Tyler.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the First Presbyterian Church in Chazy. Burial will follow in Ingraham Cemetery.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Presbyterian Church in Chazy or to the Eastern Star.

Richard Hennessy, 92, of Forest Hill Avenue, Saranac Lake, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, at his home.

Born in New York City on May 7, 1912, he was the son of Richard and Blanche (LeVien) Hennessy.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are with the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake.
