Published: 9/13/04Sharon Ann WeissPUTNAM STATION — Sharon Ann Weiss, 47, of Pulpit Point Road, passed away Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004, at her residence. Born in Catskill, Oct. 9, 1956, she was the daughter of the late James and Irma (King) Weiss. Sharon had been a resident of Putnam Station for many years. She was previously employed by the N.Y.S. Department of Corrections as a purchasing agent. Most recently she was employed by the Ticonderoga Elementary School as school librarian, a job that she enjoyed to the fullest. Sharon cherished time with her family. Her hobbies included watching wildlife, canoeing, hiking, and she very much enjoyed fishing. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Gail McIntosh. Survivors include her daughter, Abby Weiss of Putnam Station; her companion, Richard Beebe of Putnam Station; four brothers, James Weiss of Madera, Calif., George Weiss of Round Top, Clifford Weiss of Catskill, and Allan Weiss of Purling; and two sisters, Lynn Dittmar of Round Top and Kay Policastro of Parcippany, N.J. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga. A funeral service will take place 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Floyd Freed will officiate. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Valley View Cemetery of Ticonderoga. Donna H. DrummPlattsburgh — Donna H. Drumm, 61, of Macomb Street, passed away Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Gouverneur, N.Y., on March 12, 1943, the daughter of Donald S. and Ruth (Hockey) Homer. Donna received her bachelors degree from Syracuse University and her masters in counseling from Plattsburgh State University. She had worked for Upward Bound, JCEO and the Plattsburgh Housing Authority. Donna retired from the New York State Department of Labor after 20 years of service. She had been a county representative for the Democratic Party. She also served on the City of Plattsburgh Zoning Board of Appeals. She was a member of the Champlain Valley Sweet Adeline's for many years. She is survived by two sons, Derek Drumm of Plattsburgh and John Drumm and his wife Julie of Plattsburgh; a grandson, Gregory; a granddaughter, Lindsey; and her former husband, Clark of Schenectady. The family will receive guests on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A reception and celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Barracks Golf Course Club House at the former Plattsburgh Air Force Base. Friends wishing may make donations to the FitzPatrick Cancer Center. JANE A. GOWAN MILLER, 69, of 10 Ridge Way, Saranac Lake, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. Born Aug. 19, 1935, she was the daughter of Edward C. and Ruth L. (Lewis) Barber. Calling hours will take place from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A funeral service will take place 4 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Saranac Lake. Interment will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery. H.G. "JERRY" LaVOIE, 76, of 9 Charles St., Malone, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. Born in Malone on June 1, 1928, he was the son of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Wheaton) LaVoie. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at Notre Dame Church in Malone. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. ERNESTINE MARLOW, 85, of Burke, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, where she had been a patient since Sept. 1.
