Robert P. Dumas

Mooers — Robert P. Dumas, 65, of Mooers, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born in Mooers on Oct. 9, 1938, the son of Peter and Dora (Rabideau) Dumas.

He was a dairy farmer for many years and was a council member for the Town of Mooers. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Mooers where he attended regularly and was an usher, collection counter and a member of the parish council. He was a past Farm Bureau president and board member, a past president of the Independent Dairymen's Cooperative and board member, a past member and board member of the RCMA and a past member of the New England Dairy Promotion Board, Inc.

He loved tractor pulling, playing cards, listening and dancing to country music and traveling.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Gladys (Hadley) Dumas of Mooers; a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Michael Willette of Mooers; two sons, Roy and his wife Rebecca Dumas of Atlanta, Ga., and Daniel and his wife Carrie Dumas of Mooers; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Catherine Mayo of West Chazy and Rita and Joseph Rock of San Diego, Calif.; his grandchildren, Joshua, Nicole, Evan, Adam, Darren and Ethan; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents; and a sister, Vezina Favreau, died before him.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Mooers. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday from St. Joseph's Church in Mooers. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Mooers Fire Department or Hospice of the North Country.

Barbara J. Everleth

Peru — Barbara J. Everleth, 76, of Conners Road, Peru, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Peru, Jan. 14, 1928, the daughter of Hubert and Mildred (Bragg) Merrill.

She was a graduate of Peru Central School and Plattsburgh Business Institute.

Barbara was a homemaker and also provided day care for local families.

She was a member of the Peru VFW Post 309 Ladies Auxiliary.

Barbara enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and crafts.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Ruth Relation of Peru, Patrick and Marietta Relation of New Jersey, and Kenneth and Peggy Relation of Georgia; three stepchildren, George Everleth Jr. of Peru, Dennis Everleth of Willsboro and Carol Everleth; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Relation Lalone; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Francis and Leta Merrill of Schuyler Falls, Harold and Margaret Merrill of Peru and Lawrence and Jean Merrill of Peru; two sisters-in-law, Carol Merrill of Harkness and Evelyn Merrill of Peru; 11 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her companion, George H. Everleth Sr.; a son, Dale Relation; and brothers, James, Carlton and Harris Merrill.

Calling hours will be held from 11 to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Svenson, pastor of the Peru Community Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Peasleeville Cemetery.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Peru Fire Department.

Juanita Crippen, 91, of Burke, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004, at her home.

A memorial service will be held at the Spaulding Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, Pastor Leon Sweeney presiding. Following the service friends are invited to join the family at the Burke Fire Department for a time of food, fellowship and remembrance. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Clinton Lee Frasier, 65, of Ballston Spa and formerly of Hague, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 30, 1938, in Hague.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga. The Ticonderoga Elks will conduct a Lodge of Sorrow at 6:30 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. A funeral service will take place 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Mr. Elliott A. Shaw will officiate. Interment will follow at the family plot of the May Memorial Cemetery of Hague.

Philip W. St. Denis, 81, of Route 11, North Bangor, N.Y., died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004, at his home, while under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the North Country, Inc.

Born in Malone, N.Y., Feb. 27, 1923, he was the son of the late Cleophus and Annabel Dudley St. Denis.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Notre Dame Church, in Malone. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

John W. Calhoun, 79, of Rouses Point died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at the Cedar Hedge Nursing Home in Rouses Point.

Arrangements with the Clark Funeral Home in Rouses Point are incomplete at this time.
