Richard T. McAuliffe

Willsboro — Richard T. McAuliffe, 80, formerly of Willsboro, died at the Horace Nye Home in Elizabethtown on Friday evening, Aug. 6, 2004.

He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on Aug. 18, 1923, the son of Richard J. and Anna (Garvey) McAuliffe.

Richard was a member of St. Philip of Jesus Church, Willsboro and the Grange. He was a dairy farmer all his life.

He survived by one daughter, Jennifer Hopper; two granddaughters, Madison and Autumn Hopper, all of Willsboro; and three nephews, Thomas J. and Yvonne Calkins of Plattsburgh, Dino and Barbara Martin of Jamesville, N.Y., and Jerry Martin of Oregon.

He was predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Maude Martin and Grace Calkins; his brother Michael McAuliffe; and a nephew, Randy Calkins.

Calling hours will be held Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Huestis Funeral Home, Maple Street, Willsboro. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at 11 a.m. at St. Philip's Church, Main Street, Willsboro. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, LakeShore Road, Willsboro.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Willsboro-Reber Rescue Squad.

Wendi Anne Phills

Sarasota, Fla. — Wendi Anne Phills, 40, of Sarasota, Fla., died Aug. 6, 2004.

She was born in Montreal, Canada, on Jan. 31, 1964, the daughter of Dr. James and Gerine Phills.

Wendi was a graduate of Clinton Community College in Plattsburgh, N.Y., and moved from Syracuse, N.Y., to Sarasota in 2003.

She is survived by her parents, Dr. James and Gerine Phills of Sarasota, Fla.; and a brother, Dr. James A. Phills Jr., of Palo Alto, Calif.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of SW Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238 or The Wellness Community of SW Florida, 3900 Clark Road, Sarasota, FL 34233.

Lily Diane Duncan, infant daughter of William Paul Duncan and Brenda T. Williams, passed away Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
