Published: 7/4/04Robert L. St. MaryMalone — Robert L. St. Mary, 80, of Malone, N.Y., died Thursday, July 1, 2004, at the Uihlein Mercy Center in Lake Placid, N.Y. Born March 25, 1924, in Malone, he was the son of Eli and Florence (Ryan) St. Mary. Robert worked at the mines at Tahawus, the construction of the St. Lawrence Seaway and for many years as a well-known and respected dairy farmer. On Jan. 21, 1950, he married Yvette Lemieux at Notre Dame Church in Malone. She survives. Bob enjoyed watching his New York Yankees and loved to hunt and fish. He was an avid gardener and loved spending time with his family. Besides his wife of 54 years, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Brenda St. Mary of Elmira; four daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Richard Tremblay of Malone, Sheila and Marvin Hoy of Chateaugay Lake, Jeannie and Joe Dingle of Malone and Jackie and Alan Hosler of Lake Placid. He is also survived by a sister, Ida Mae Jweid of Utica. He was predeceased by four brothers, James, Leonard, Bernard and Floyd St. Mary. Calling hours will be Monday, July 5, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the St. Mary-Murphy Funeral Home in Malone. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 6, at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Church. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in Malone. MABLE L. MITCHELL, 62, of Champlain Drive, Mineville, died Thursday, July 1, 2004, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care, Burlington, Vt. She was born on Dec. 15, 1941, at Hague, the daughter of James and Esther (Harpp) Belden. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, July 4, at 2 p.m. at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Burgoyne Road, Ticonderoga. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, July 6, at 10 a.m. at the South Moriah Cemetery, Moriah, ISABELLA ANN NORMANDIN, infant daughter of Jean Marie Normandin, died Friday, July 2, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 6, at 10 a.m. at St. Jame, Minor Cemetery in Cadyville Arrangements are being handled by the Brown Funeral Home in Platisbirgh. GEORGE H. SCHILDGE, 77, of Cadyville, died Saturday, July 3, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, NY. He was born in Oak Park, Ill., on Jan. 22, 1927, the son of George W. and Bernadine (Wheat) Schildge. Arrangements are incomplete at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. |
