Calvin P. Ano

KEESEVILLE/AuSABLE FORKS — Calvin P. Ano (72) of Hill Street, Keeseville, and formerly of AuSable Forks passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, June 26, 2004, at Adirondack Medical Center, Saranac Lake.

He was born in AuSable Forks, July 4, 1931, the son of Claude and Viola (Stanley) Ano.

Cal was employed for many years at the former J&J Rogers Paper Mill, AuSable Forks. He was employed at a paper mill in Connecticut until his reitrement in 1989; then he returned to AuSable Forks.’

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of American Legion Post 504. He enjoyed bowling and playing shuffle board.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Greg Wright of AuSable Forks; a son, Calvin Scott Ano of AuSable Forks; a stepson, Scott Kelsey of Connecticut; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Connie Ano, Norine and Lyn Starr, Barbara and Gilbert Spooner and Linda Depo, all of Keeseville; a brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Joyce Ano of New Hampshire; four grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his wife, Lorrain Ano, his brother Francis Ano and his parents.

Visitation hours will be Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home, AuSable Forks. Funeral prayers will be led by the Rev. Philip Allen Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Cremation will take place at Whispering Maples Crematory, Ellenburg Depot.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Calvin may be made to Beckys House, 315 South Manning Blvd., Albany, N.Y. or to a charity of one’s choice.

BOMBARDIER — A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for William Francis Bombardier Sr., who died March 17, 2004. The Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Delanson. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.

Arrangements are by White-VanBuren Funeral Home, Delanson.
