Lillian P. Wells Bechard

ROUSES POINT — Lillian P. Wells Bechard, 96, of Cedar Hedge Nursing Home, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004.

She was born Aug. 12, 1907, in the village of Champlain, N.Y., the daughter of Albert Perrea and Mary (Taylor) Perrea.

She married Leonard Wells, who predeceased her in 1960. She then married Armand Bechard, who predeceased her in 1985.

She is survived by two sons, Orville and Lucille Wells of Florida and Hubert and Joyce Wells of Plattsburgh; five daughters, Yvonne Osterhoudt of North Carolina, Hazel Barie of Florida, Betty and Joseph Leduc of Champlain, Patricia and Bernard Rock of Horseheads, N.Y., and Catherine and Alton Garrand of Florida; and one sister, Yvonne Yelle of Champlain. She is also survived by several grandchildren; great - grandchildren; and great - great - grandchildren; and also an extended family at Cedar Hedge Nursing Home.

She was predeceased by three sisters, Irene, Alpha and Antionette; and three brothers, Albert, Patrick and Clifford. She was also predeceased by two sons, Richard and Joseph; and one daughter, Elricka Varin.

She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary in Champlain.

Calling hours will be on Friday, May 28th, from 5 until 9 p.m. at M.B. Clark Funeral Home, 196 Elm Street in Champlain. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church in Champlain on Saturday, May 29th, at 12:15 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery on Church Street in Champlain.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Church in Champlain or Cedar Hedge Nursing Home in Rouses Point.

Arrangements are with M.B. Funeral Home in Champlain.

Mary Jane Carota, 79, formerly of Plattsburgh, died Thursday, May 20, 2004, at the Saratoga Hospital.

She was born at Indian Lake on Feb. 17, 1925, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth McGinn.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at the O’Neill - Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

Niyonu Irene Kahn, 31, of Avon, Conn., and formerly of Mildred Boulevard in Plattsburgh, died Thursday, May 27, 2004, at the John Dempsey University Medical Center of Connecticut in Farmington, Conn.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

Charles S. Wilson, 79, of Stebbins Road, Constable, N.Y., died Thursday, May 27, 2004, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center.

He was born on Feb. 24, 1925, in Trout River, N.Y., the son of James and Arnett (Robertson) Wilson.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 1st, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the St. Mary-Murphy Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 2nd, at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame Church. Burial will take place in Notre Dame Cemetery.

Meier — A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 31st, at 2 p.m. at the Lakeview Cemetery, Willsboro, for Margaret Meier, who died April 18, 2004. A reception will follow at the Willsboro Congregational United Church of Christ.
