Published: 10/30/04Ruth E. (Young) Beaubriand Port Henry — Ruth E. (Young) Beaubriand, 90, of Port Henry, passed away Friday, May 7, 2004, at the Moses-Ludington Hospital of Ticonderoga. Born in Butte, Mont., Oct. 21, 1913, she was the daughter of the late James F. and Ida Mae (Tyrell) Young. Mrs. Beaubriand spent most of her life in Plattsburgh. She was a graduate of Champlain Valley School of Nursing in Plattsburgh. She was employed as a registered nurse at several health facilities in Plattsburgh, including Physicians Hospital, Plattsburgh Air Force Base Hospital, Dr. Singer's office and Dr. Atwater's office. She moved to Port Henry 20 years ago. Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Bertrand D. Beaubriand; one son, James A. Beaubriand of Port Henry; one daughter, Sue Anne Bedard and her husband Henry of West Chazy; and one brother, Richard (Bud) Breeyer and his wife Patricia of Port Henry. She is also survived by several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours or funeral service. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Donations in her memory may be made to the Moriah Ambulance Squad, Moriah, NY 12960 or the American Diabetes Association, 7 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205. Gary J. Rock Keeseville — Gary J. Rock, 59, of Pleasant Street, Keeseville, died unexpectedly, Friday, May 7, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Troy, May 13, 1944, the son of Lewis J. and Dorina (Latourelle) Kusalonis. He was a painter for Plattsburgh State University. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing and also playing darts. Survivors include his wife, Julie A. (Trombley) Rock of Keeseville, whom he married Sept. 9, 1995, in Keeseville; two sons, Gregory Rock of Plattsburgh and Eric Rock of Keeseville; two stepchildren and their spouses, Jennifer Ruell-Huckkel and Walter of Poughkeepsie and Paul Ruell of Keeseville; one grandson, Mason Huckkel; his mother of Keeseville; three sons and one daughter-in-law, James and Noni Kusalonis of Saratoga, Joe Kusalonis and Tony Kusalonis and fiancée Teresa Fleury, all of Keeseville; one sister and fiancé, Christine Blaise and James Ashline of Plattsburgh; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father; and one son Aaron Rock. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. John's Church in Keeseville with Monsignor Leeward J. Poissant, pastor, celebrating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations in his memory may be made to the family. Frances H. Tefoe Westport — Frances H. Tefoe, 84, of Main Street, Westport, died Thursday, May 6, 2004, at her home. She was born in Port Henry, March 26, 1920, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Robatoy) McCarthy. Frances was a homemaker and enjoyed needlework and embroidery and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include seven sons and two daughters-in-law, Alfred "Bill" and Patricia Tefoe of Syracuse, Ray Tefoe, George Tefoe and John Tefoe, all of Westport, James and Sharon Tefoe of Connecticut, and Tim and Joseph Tefoe, both of Westport; three daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth "Betty" and Doug Stevens of Westport, Linda and Martin Moses of Mechanicville and Mary and Bill Kelley of Westport; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Alfred J. Tefoe; a son, Peter Tefoe; and two sisters, Anna Cleveland and Lena Cossey. There will be no public calling hours. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at 10 a.m. at the St. Philip Neri Cemetery in Westport with Monsignor Peter Riani, pastor, officiating. Donations may be made to the Westport Emergency Squad or the Westport Fire Department. Arrangements are by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Westport. Rona J. Kingdollar Lewis — Rona J. Kingdollar, 74, of Fox Run Road in Lewis, died Thursday, May 6, 2004. She was born in Lewis on June 6, 1930, the daughter of Joseph and Cora (Cross) Kingdollar. Rona worked for many years at the Essex County Nursing Home in Whallonsburg and later at the Horace Nye Home in Elizabethtown as a nurse’s aide. She is survived by her companion, Tommy Brown and her friends, Karen Brown and Bucky Sweatt. She was predeceased by her parents; and her brothers, Joe, Israel and Bill. Calling hours will be Sunday, May 9th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at W.M. Marvin’s Sons Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral Mass will be conducted by Monsignor Peter Rianni on Monday, May 10th, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Elizabethtown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations by be made to the Elizabethtown-Lewis Ambulance Squad or St. Elizabeth’s Church. DEATH NOTICES Rodney C. Guynup, 58, of the Military Turnpike, died Friday, May 7, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh on Jan. 14, 1946, son or the late Charles and Muriel (Vorce) Guynup. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Memorial Service Ashline — A memorial service for Mary "Bette" Ashline, who died on April 17, 2004, in Ocala, Fla., will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2004, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Coopersville with Rev. Clyde Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetary. Graveside Services LaRow — A graveside service will be held Monday, May 10, 2004, at 2 p.m. in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Chazy for Evelyn E. LaRow, who passed away earlier this year. The Rev. William Gordon, pastor, will officiate. Arrangements are with the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. St. Peter’s Cemetery: Graveside services for Tuffield Fountain, Marvin Desrocher, Gerald Girard and John Soper will be held Monday, May 10, 2004, at 9 a.m. in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh. Arrangements are with the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. |
