Dayton James Jordan

TICONDEROGA — Dayton James Jordan, infant son of Darcy J. and Kimberly A. (Fuller) Jordan of Lord Howe Street, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2004, at Fletcher Allen Health Care of Burlington.

Dayton was born on March 29, 2004, in Middlebury, Vt.

In addition to his parents, Dayton is survived by one brother, Zachary LaBounty of Ticonderoga; his paternal grandparents, Edward H. and Nancy Jordan of Ticonderoga; his maternal grandparents, Michal J. Fuller Sr. of Ticonderoga and Denise A. Fuller of Port Henry; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A graveside service will take place at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home of Ticonderoga.

Joseph William Woythaler

VALCOUR — Joseph William Woythaler, a resident of Valcour for the past 18 years, died April 1, 2004, at CVPH Medical Center. The son of Max I. and Catherene (Rice) Woythaler, Bill was born Aug. 29, 1921, in Natick, Mass., and raised in nearby Framingham. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Darmouth College in 1943 with a major in mathematics. In 1953, he earned a master’s degree from New York University. He was an early computer user, developing mathematical models for the aeronautical and pharmaceutical industries.

Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Walterlyn Vanderveer; two children, Wendy, of Blairstown, N.J., and Glenn, who resides in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, with his wife, Teri; and by three grandchildren: Eliza, Oliver and Anna Hay.

At the age of 4, Bill took up the violin and later studied at the Malcolm Conservatory in Boston, Mass. He was a member of local symphony orchestras throughout his life, including Plattsburgh Community Orchestra. Bill was active in the Adirondack Mountain Club, serving as treasurer, and Clinton County Historical Association, where he held such positions as treasurer and president. He was also a member of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morristown, N.J., acting as treasurer. Additionally, he was active in the foundations of SUNY Plattsburgh and Clinton Community College.

Interment will be at Nassau Knolls Cemetery in Port Washington, N.Y. The family asks that donations in Bill’s memory be made to a favorite charity.

ESTHER M. HOLLAND, 91, of Middle Road, Essex, died Sunday, April 4, 2004.

She was born in Weston, Vt., on Oct. 13, 1912, the daughter of Arthur Ephraim and Carrie E. (Hathaway) Moore. Arrangements are incomplete and a full obituary will appear in Tuesday’s newspaper. Huestis Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

CLARENCE PRIMARD, 91, of Waterhouse Street, died Sunday, April 4, 2004, at the home of his daughter.

He was born in Plattsburgh on April 2, 1913, the son of the late Napoleon and Margaret (Greggory) Primard.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date and will be announced the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

AMANDA (PECK) LOBDELL, 33, of State Route 11, Burke, died Sunday, April 4, 2004 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

Arrangements are incomplete through the Chateaugay Funeral Home and will be announced in Tuesday’s newspaper.
