Published: 10/30/04Raymond E. HaberskiWest Hurley, N.Y. — Raymond E. Haberski, 87, died Saturday, April 3, 2004, at Kingston Hospital. He was born on July 8, 1916, in Brooklyn, a son of Bartholomew and Frances (Domjalska) Haberski and had resided in West Hurley since 1992. Before his retirement, he was general manager of B&G Foods in New York City. He later resided in Chateaugay and was active in community affairs until moving to West Hurley. He was a member of St. John’s Roman Catholic Church in Woodstock and served on the social and golf committees. Surviving are his wife, Majorie (Burdick) Haberski; two sons, Raymond J. and Donald, both of Woodstock; a twin brother, Herbert of Whitestone; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Lasher Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Tinker St., Woodstock, on Sunday, April 4th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral procession will form at 10:15 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. At 11 a.m., a Mass of Christian burial will be sung. Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery. Contributions to St. Judes Children’s Hospital, West Hurley Rescue Squad, or Kingston Hospital and Dialysis Center, would be appreciated. John L. Hammill, 73, of Franklin Street, Malone, died April 3, 2004, at his home under the care of his family and Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Malone on Jan. 29, 1931, the son of the late Edward and Edith (Robinson) Hammill. There are no calling hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Malone. Arrangements are with the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service of Malone. Patricia A. Mather, 71, of Keene, N.Y., died Friday, April 2, 2004, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Lake Placid. She was born May 26, 1932, the daughter of Edwin and Anne (Heil) Crites. A memorial service will be held at a later date. W.M. Marvins Sons Funeral Home in Elizabethtown is in charge of arrangements. |
