Andrew L. Buskey Sr.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Andrew L. "Sonny" Buskey Sr., 79, of Northtree Place, Virginia Beach, passed away at his home on Saturday, March 6, 2004.

He was born in Plattsburgh on Sept. 29, 1924, son of Arthur A. and Rose Mary (Newell) Bousquet.

Andrew is survived by his wife, Eva A. (Hooper) Buskey of Virginia Beach, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Nancy (Ronald) Prewitt of Wheaton, Mo., Mrs. Linda (Kenneth) Ossman of Macedon, N.Y., and Denise Guisbert of Jackson, Mich.; two sons, Andrew (Joanne) Buskey Jr. of Saranac and Daniel (Brenda) Buskey of Virginia Beach; a sister, Patricia (Buskey) O’Hearn of West Chazy; a brother, Richard Buskey of Plattsburgh; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; aunts; uncles; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Andrew was predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth (Buskey) O’Hearn and Ruth (Buskey) Garrow.

Andrew was a native and long-time resident of Clinton County and also resided in Jackson, Mich., Wheaton, Mo. and for more than 12 years in the Virginia Beach area. He was an employee of the State of New York Department of Public Works, the City of Plattsburgh and his last job was for the Norfolk Ship Yards in Virginia.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora. Burial will be later in the year in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Plattsburgh.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Oddesy Health Care (Hospice) of Virginia Beach, Va.

Dorothy Chisholm

Dannemora — Mrs. Dorothy Chisholm, 81, of the Grandview House, Dannemora and formerly of Roderick Rock Apartments in Morrisonville, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center with her family at her side.

She was born in Cadyville, N.Y., on Dec. 13, 1922, the daughter of John and Agnes (Barber) Burnell.

Dorothy was a member of the American Legion Post 1619 Ladies Auxiliary, Senior Citizens Council of Clinton County and St. Alexander’s Church.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Raymond Derocher; her second husband, Benoit Chisholm; a brother, Richard Burnell; a son, Raymond Derocher; and her grandchildren, Heidi Chisholm and Cheryl Derocher.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Nancy Rock of Massena, N.Y., and Judy Fisher and her husband Ronald of Morrisonville; three sons, David Chisholm and his companion Val of Chicago, Michael Chisholm and his wife Emma of Delanson, N.Y., and Robert Chisholm and his companion Cynthia Waldron of Saranac; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. from St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville.

Interment will be at a later date in St. Alexander’s Cemetery.

Friends wishing may have Masses said in her memory.

Mary Rita Reinsel May

Plattsburgh — Mary Rita "Bunny" Reinsel May, 88, of the Samuel F. Vilas Home in Plattsburgh, N.Y., passed away March 6, 2004, with all of her five children at her side.

She was born in Oil City, Pa., on Dec. 8, 1915, to Thomas L. Reinsel and Ella (Baines) Reinsel.

She was the wife of the late Dr. James H. May, whom she married on Oct. 29, 1942.

Bunny was an accomplished ballet, tap and toe dancer. Besides having her own dance studio before she was married, she choreographed and performed many musical productions in Sharon, Pa.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, an officer of the Mercer County Dental Auxiliary and a member of the hospital auxiliary. An avid water skier, she last skied on Lake Champlain at the age of 76.

Bunny was preceded in death by her brother, Cyril T. Reinsel and seven other siblings.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James Reinsel and Lynne May of Chester Springs, Pa.; her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Carol and David White of Slingerlands, N.Y., Linda and Drew Sabella of Peru, N.Y., Colleen and Patrick Petrini of Sparks, Nev., and Marita and Stuart Nickell of Greenwood Village, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the McGonigle Funeral Home in Sharon, Pa., on March 12th at 11 a.m. followed by a Mass at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Sharon.

Howard M. Rose Sr., 81, of County Rte. 22, North Bangor, died March 7, 2004, at his home, while under the loving care of his family, friends and Hospice of the North Country, Inc.

He was born in Duke, Okla., on May 16, 1922, the son of the late Willie O. and Virginia (Nelson) Rose,

There are no calling hours. Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family,
