Published: 2/18/04Malvina E. LaPineLATHAM, N.Y. — Malvina E. LaPine entered into eternal life on Feb. 16, 2004. Formerly of Champlain, she later moved to Latham, N.Y., to reside with her daughter. Her husband, Arthur; and her son, Albert predeceased her. Survivors include one daughter, Irene Wondisford; longtime friend and care giver, Thomas Campion and daughter Peggy; daughter-in-law, Frances LaPine of West Chazy; granddaughter, Barbara and Joseph Bellantone of Schenectady, N.Y.; grandson, Steven and Bonnie LaPine of Essex Junction, Vt.; three great-grand-children, Craig, Wendy and Carrie; one great-great-grandchild, Logan; a sister, Aidai Normandin of Peru, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews; and close friends, the Douglas Dame family of Troy, N.Y. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Champlain, N.Y. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Clark Funeral Home in Champlain from 9 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral. Interment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in the spring. Bessey of U.S. Route 9, Schroon Lake, passed away to the heavens early Monday afternoon Feb. 16, 2004, at the Glens Falls Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Joyce was born Aug. 19, 1941, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., the daughter of Victor and Alice Stone Wood. Joyce married her husband, Donald J. Bessey Sr., Sept. 18, 1958. He passed away March 22, 1986. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Harold, Donald, Mike and Leander Wood; and her sisters, Loretta Bordeau and Alena Wood. Joyce was a former home health aide and distributed Meals on Wheels for Essex County. She enjoyed her family, her grandchildren, cooking, flowers and playing solitaire on her computer. The family would like to give special thanks to Joyce’s nephew Jr. and his family for being by her side always when she needed a special hand. Joyce is survived by three sons, Donald J. Bessey Jr. and Paul A. Sr. and his wife Bonnie Bessey, both of Schroon Lake and Rodney L. and his wife Lori Bessey of Lake Placid; two daughters, Patty and her husband Jim Klingbeil of Saratoga Springs and Joy M. Bessey of Schroon Lake; her brother, Ellsworth Wood of Stillwater; and her sisters, Ceil Littrell of Osawatomie, Kan., Mildred Hayes of Plattsburgh, Theresa Kirkendol of Ohio and Agnes LaPointe of Stillwater. Her grandchildren, Lyle Hansen, James Jr., Jesse and Brandy Klingbeil, Seth and Chris Carter, Kari and Rodney Jr. Bessey and Veronica Anderson and Paul Bessey Jr. Friends may call at the Edward L. Kelly Funeral Home, Schroon Lake, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning at 11 a.m. at the Schroon Lake Community Church, interment will take place in the Schroon River Cemetery in the spring. Blanche E. RinnPlattsburgh — Mrs. Blanche E. Rinn, 79, of Lakeview Towers, Plattsburgh, passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Facility in Burlington, Vt. She was born in Standish, N.Y., on March 22, 1924, the daughter of Joseph J. and Rose (Besaw) LaFountain. Blanche retired from Imperial Paper Mill in 1984. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church. Blanche was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Frank J. Rinn; brothers, Henry Near, Frank Neri and Richard LaFountain; sisters, Mabel Akey, Margaret Carter and Catherine Desso; a grandson, Derek Rinn; and a daughter-in-law, Sandra Rinn. She is survived by two sons, Richard Rinn and his wife Brenda of Plattsburgh and Ronnie Rinn and his wife Gertrude of Plattsburgh; two daughters, Donna Butler of Plattsburgh and Brenda Rabideau and her husband Terry of Plattsburgh; a brother, Victor LaFountain of Plattsburgh; eight grandchildren, Lahoma, David, Frank, Becky, Sean, Jamie, Jason and Christina; two step grandchildren, Michael and John; 12 great-grandchildren; four step great-grand-children; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Floyd "Jerry" Bleaux, pastor of Our Lady of Victory Church officiating. Interment will be at a later date in St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends wishing may make donations to North Country Association for the Visually Impaired, 301 Main Street, Lake Placid, NY 12946. D’AMOUR — Calling hours for Kevin D’Amour have been schuduled for Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. in the St. Mary-Murphy Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be conducted in the spring at St. Helen’s Cemetary, Chasm Falls, N.Y. |
