Published: 10/30/04Lawrence "Lee" GuerinChamplain — Lawrence "Lee" Guerin, 44, of Champlain, passed away Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born May 21, 1959, in Champlain, the son of Lawrence and Theresa (Mayo) Guerin. He joined the Champlain Fire Department Aug. 18, 1980, and was very well known in the Champlain and Rouses Point area. Lee worked at Northeast Clinton Central School for over 20 years. He has also worked at Ames Department Store, Save-A-Lot and The Stumble Inn in Champlain. He is predeceased by his father, Lawrence W. Guerin, who passed away on July 4, 1990, and his mother, Theresa Guerin, who passed away in July of 1977. Survivors include his wife, Paula Guerin of Rouses Point; two daughters, Trina A. Guerin of Champlain and Kimberly A. Guerin of Rouses Point; one aunt, Marie T. Mayo of Champlain; six uncles, Rufus Guerin of Irona, Floyd Guerin of Irona, Earl Guerin of Irona, Wayne Guerin of Irona, Reginald and Jane Mayo of Rouses Point and Wayne and Sidney Garrow of Peru; two aunts, Veleta Parrish of AuSable Forks and Lucy Mayo of Champlain; one brother-in-law, Peter Narreau and his wife Carolyn of Georgia; four sisters-in-law, Karen LaValley and her husband Mike of Coopersville, Lynne Glenn and her husband Dave of Plattsburgh, Wanda Longtin and her husband Jim of Plattsburgh and Donna Tresinuto and her husband Bob of Cleveland, Ohio. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home in Champlain. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at St. Mary's Church in Champlain. Victor M. TreadwayPutnam Station — Victor M. Treadway, 86, of Treadway Lane, passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at the Moses-Ludington Hospital of Ticonderoga. Born in Port Henry on Aug. 3, 1917, he was the son of the late Lemuel B. and Elsie (Messenger) Treadway. Mr. Treadway was a lifetime resident of Putnam Station. He has been a farmer his entire working life and has owned dairy farms in Putnam Station for over 50 years. He was a member of the N.Y.S. Farm Bureau and a 50 year member of the Dairy Lea Cooperative, Inc. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Putnam Station and has served as a Putnam Station town board member and Putnam School bus driver. Mr. Treadway was a 50 year member of the Putnam Valley Grange and the Pomona Grange of Washington County. He was a member of the Putnam Volunteer Fire Department and the Washington County Fire Police Association for over 40 years. On Dec. 12, 1942, he married the former Nellie V. Anderson in Putnam Station. She predeceased him on Nov. 13, 1998. Survivors include one son, Donald F. Treadway and his wife Marcia of Putnam Station; two daughters, Dottie E. Wright and her companion Homer Swan of Ticonderoga and Irene N. Kiggins and her husband Russell of Fort Ann; and one sister, Dorothy M. Treadway of Saratoga. He is also survived by six grandchildren; three great - grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Sharon Weber, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church of Putnam Station, will officiate. Interment will take place at the family plot of the Meadow Knoll Cemetery of Putnam Station at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the United Presbyterian Church, Lower Road, Putnam Station, NY 12861. Louise A. ReynsPlattsburgh — Louise A. Reyns, 77, of Plattsburgh, entered into rest on Feb. 14, 2004. She was born in Newburgh, N.Y., on May 16, 1926, the daughter of John H. Danko and Scholastica Marenchick. She was a retired sales clerk and manager for Lloyds. She is survived by five daughters, Marianne and husband James Jackson of Suisun, Calif., Cecelia Slater of Camden, N.Y., Catherine and husband David Witkowski of Plattsburgh, N.Y., Patricia and husband Charles Rodstrom of Maybrook, N.Y., and Jeanne and husband Richard Epley of Pensacola, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph M. Reyns; one daughter, Theresa Baucom; and one brother, James Danko. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 18th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville, N.Y.. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 19th, at 10 a.m. from St. Mary’s Church in Washingtonville. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Washingtonville. Rhoades, 63, formerly of Route 37, Westville, N.Y., died Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone. She had been a patient there since Feb. 9th. She had been a resident at the Franklin County Nursing Home in Malone since May 30, 2002. She was born in Westville, N.Y., on March 27, 1940, the daughter of Hermon and Louva (Dame) Dustin. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. David Gearwar officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery in the spring. Lorraine Richer, 82, of Park Street, Tupper Lake, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at her home in care of family and High Peaks Hospice. Calling hours will be held at the Richer Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 16th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Alphonsus Church on Tuesday, Feb. 17th, at noon. Graveside services will be held in the spring. Clarence Foster, 69, of Long Lake, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, at home of cancer after a short illness. He was born on Jan. 30, 1935, in Pennellville, N.Y., the son of Howard and Doris Foster. Calling hours are Sunday, Feb. 15th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Long Lake Wesleyan Church. Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 16th, at 11 a.m. also at the Wesleyan Church. Interment will be in Long Lake Cemetery.
