Tillie (Brody) Reuter

Providence, R.I. — Tillie (Brody) Reuter of 1085 North Main St., Providence, R.I., died Feb. 13, 2004.

Beloved wife of the late Herbert Reuter. Devoted mother of Gerald L. and Beverly A. Reuter of Plattsburgh, Dr. Richard A. and Rhonda S. Reuter of Barrington, R.I., and Selma L. and Daniel Weiss of North Hills, N.Y.

Dear sister of the late Israel, Benjamin and Albert Brody and Duba Nissen.

Loving grandmother of Lester, Monica, Dr. Bradley and Debra Weiss, Dr. Merrill, Pamela, Michael and Jean Reuter, Rhonda and Robert Pais and the late David P. Reuter. Cherished great-grandmother of Ari, Michael, Sierra and Zoe Weiss, Seth, Hillary, Evan and Jordan Reuter and Sarah, Ethan and Erica Pais.

The funeral service was held Friday at Shalom Memorial Chapel, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston, R.I.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the David P. Reuter Free Helmet Fund, c/o Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital Foundation, 100 Beekman St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901 or your favorite charity.

Mirilda M. O'Hearn Patnode

Plattsburgh — Mirilda M. O'Hearn Patnode, 71, of Underwood Avenue, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center.

She was born in Mooers Forks on Feb. 28, 1932, the daughter of Louis and Cylinda Gadway.

Mrs. Patnode worked at Georgia Pacific Paper Mill for 32 years, retiring in 1993.

She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh.

Mirilda was an avid bingo player.

Survivors include her husband, Ellis Patnode of Plattsburgh; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mrs. Bruce (Pamela) Champagne of Plattsburgh and Colleen O’Hearn of Plattsburgh; one stepbrother, Kenneth Gadway of Schuyler Falls; and one granddaughter, Kelly Champagne of Plattsburgh; one stepson, Thomas Patnode of Cape Cod, Mass.; two stepdaughters, Andrea LeClaire of Malone and Amy Covey of Boston, Mass.

One sister, Gloria Vester, died earlier.

There will be no public calling hours.

A funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens on the Tom Miller Road in Plattsburgh.

The R.W. Walker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to the Our Lady of Victory Church Memorial Fund.

Geraldine Sanders

Lake Placid/ Wilmington — Geraldine Sanders, 71, of 30 Greenwood St., Lake Placid and formerly of Wilmington, passed into the arms of the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, at the Adirondack Medical Center, Saranac Lake.

She was born in AuSable Forks on March 1, 1932, the daughter of Irwin and Helena (Goucher) Jacques.

She enjoyed music, crocheting, working in her garden and canning her products of her hard work and making all kinds of pickles and sharing them with relatives and friends. It has been said she touched the hearts of the people around her and will certainly be missed by all. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

She is survived by a son, Jeffrey Sanders of Lake Placid; a grandson, Josh Sanders of California; two sisters, Doris Poulin of Saranac Lake and Madeline Sands of Albany; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Ivan Sanders; a daughter, Deborah Jean; and a sister, Pauline Preston.

There will be no visiting hours. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Bausman officiating at the Zaumetzer - Sprague Funeral Home, AuSable Forks.

The family requests those wishing to give memorials in Geraldine’s name to please send donations to the High Peaks Hospice, P.O. Box 840, Saranac Lake, NY 12983. Burial will be at a later date in the Haselton Cemetery, Wilmington.
