Dorothy A. McArthur, 82, of River Street, Lake Placid, N.Y., died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

She was born in Chateaugay, N.Y., on March 20, 1921, the daughter of John and Eva LaPiere.

Calling hours were held on Friday, Jan. 23, at the Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid with a funeral service at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Patrick O’Reilly officiated. Burial will be in North Elba Cemetery in May.

Elizabeth "Betty" Ryan-Beach, 81, of Clay, N.Y., died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, N.Y.

She was born May 6, 1922, in Cadyville, N.Y., the daughter of Elmer and Julia (Bassett) Ryan.

Calling hours were held on Friday at the Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 St. Salina St., Syracuse, N.Y. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 10 a.m. in Christ The King Church, Liverpool, N.Y. Burial will be in the Onondaga Valley Cemetery in Syracuse.

Dorothy Theresa Corneau, 91, of Don Smiths Apartments, Tupper Lake, died at the home of her daughter in Saranac Lake on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004, with care from High Peaks Hospice.

She was born Jan. 11, 1913, in Tupper Lake, the daughter of Frank and Rose (Laduc) LaBarge.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, Jan. 25, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Richer Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church.

Clifton Lecuyer, 76, of Rabideau Street in Cadyville, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2004 at his home.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
