Published: 1/5/04Norman P. DefayetteMORRISONVILLE — Norman P. Defayette, 69, of Rand Hill, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt. He was born in Plattsburgh on Jan. 29, 1934, the son of Philmore and Laura (Caron) Defayette. He was a farmer and milk truck driver for several years and later worked in the central supply department at CVPH Medical Center where he retired after 20 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Jane (Bradley) Defayette; his children and their spouses, Sharlene (Defayette) and Matthew Rasco of Morrisonville, Julie (Defayette) and Laurence Duprey of Saranac, Sidney N. Defayette of Rand Hill, Nathan R. Defayette of Rand Hill, and Laurie M. (Defayette) and Lee Taylor of West Chazy; a brother, Donald Defayette of Plattsburgh; two sisters, Theresa Sears of Morrisonville and Dorothy Caron of Plattsburgh; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. His parents died before him. There will be no calling hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. The O’Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh is in charge of arrangements. Helen T. BoucherCHAZY LAKE — Helen T. Boucher, 80, of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at St. Margaret’s Nursing Home in Montreal. She was born in New Castle, New Brunswick, on Oct. 5, 1923, the daughter of Basil and Mary E. (Galiah) Thibodeau. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Church in Lyon Mountain and was a member of the Court Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Daughters Court 1548. Most of her time was spent at Chazy Lake, which was close to her heart. She is survived by her husband, Paul E. Boucher Sr. of Chazy Lake; a son, Paul R. Boucher Jr. of Montreal; four daughters, Viviane Boucher of Montreal, Diane Barber of Chazy Lake, Denise Ashline of Chazy Lake and Cynthia Dubrey of Plattsburgh; two brothers, John Thibodeau of London, Ontario and Leo Thibodeau of New Castle, New Brunswick; and eight grandchildren, Louis Boucher, Natalie Najarian, Philipe Najarian, Joshua Barber, Peter Ashline, Brandon Barber, Brittany Dubrey and Kaley Dubrey. A daughter, Caroline M. Boucher, and a granddaughter, Stephanie Boucher, died on Jan. 26, 1992. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Lyon Mountain Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday from St. Bernard’s Church in Lyon Mountain. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country or the American Cancer Society. ERLA H. BOMBARD, 77, of ICF Residence on Sawyer Avenue, Malone, died Jan. 2, 2004, at Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone. Born on May 5, 1926, in North Bangor, she was the daughter of Wilber and Florence (LaFleur) Bombard. Calling hours will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Chateaugay Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with the Rev. Derek Trudell officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Devins Cemeter in Bangor. AMY BARBEAU, 22, of Mooers Forks, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. Arrangements were incomplete Sunday evening at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Mooers |
