Published: 12/30/03Marian E. BeaudinChambersburgh, PA — Marian E. "Betty" Beaudin, age 85, of 765 Blanchard Avenue, Chambersburg, Pa., formerly of Ticonderoga, N.Y., and Saratoga Springs, N.Y., died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, 11:20 a.m. at the Chambersburg Hospital, in Pennsylvania. She was born Jan. 13, 1918, in Ticonderoga N.Y., a daughter of the late Arthur D. and Merle (Kirby) Spring. Her husband, Robert P. Beaudin, died Jan. 22, 1986. She was employed as a clothing store manager at "Dorian’s" in Ticonderoga, N.Y. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Ticonderoga, N.Y., the Garden Clubs of Ticonderoga and Schuylerville, N.Y. Surviving is a daughter, Roberta F. wife of James Woods, of Chambersburg, Pa.; a brother, Carl Spring of Palm Springs, Calif., a brother, Robert Spring of Crown Point, N.Y.; and a sister, Frances Clifton of Middleburg, N.Y. She is also survived by four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret "Elaine" Osier; and brothers, Roy, Harold, Richard, Bud and Kenneth Spring. Graveside services will be conducted the latter part of May 2004 in the Valley View Cemetery, Ticonderoga, N.Y. At the families request, there will be no public viewing. Leyendecker, 40, of the Smart Road, Plattsburgh, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh, March 31, 1963, the daughter of Robert J. and Patricia (McDonald) Burgess. She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising horses and loved animals of any kind. Survivors include her daughter, Afton LaDuke of Plattsburgh; her son, Christopher Leyendecker of Plattsburgh; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl and John Braun of Jacksonville, Fla., and Pamela and Douglas Besaw of Peru; her stepfather, Reginald Besaw and companion, Caroline Riley of Peru; stepbrothers and stepsisters and their spouses, Bonnie and Jon Landry of Crown Point, Diane and Jeff Liberty of Saranac, Bruce and Georgia Besaw of Plattsburgh, David and Beth Besaw of Saranac, Kenneth and Holly Besaw of Schuyler Falls, Nancy Steele and companion Michael McCray of Plattsburgh and Rob and Susan Besaw of Harkness; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. A prayer service will follow at 7:30 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home with Rev. William Reamer, chaplain of the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the family plot in St. Augustine's Cemetery in Peru. Donations in her memory may be made to the Morrisonville EMS or the Elmore SPCA in Peru. John J. ChartierPlattsburgh — Mr. John J. Chartier, 61, of the Miner Farm Road in Chazy, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, on March 15, 1942, son of the late Wilfrid and Clara (Gagne) Chartier. John served in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1966. He was the district manager for the Aubuchon Hardware company throughout Northeastern New York. John is survived by his wife the former Nora Avery whom he married July 30,1966, at Sacred Heart Church in Chazy; a daughter, Velvet Chartier of Plattsburgh; one brother and sister-in-law, Maurice and Allyne Chartier of Keeseville; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Marie Claire and Leon LaForest of West Chazy and Marie Ann Rabideau of Plattsburgh; one granddaughter, Yalonda Mackey of Plattsburgh; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A memorial services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are with the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Elmer R. Wagner, 93, of State Route 458, St. Regis Falls, N.Y., died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, N.Y. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., May 30, 1910, the son of the late Reinhardt and Ida (Shultz) Wagner. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the St. Regis Falls Methodist Church with the Rev. Deborah Waldron officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Cemetery in St. Regis Falls in the spring. Albert Raville Duquette Sr., 81, of Sawyer Avenue, Malone, N.Y., died Monday morning, Dec. 29, 2003, at his home while under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the North Country, Inc. He was born in Malone, March 13, 1922, the son of the late William and Florence (Raville) Duquette. Calling hours will be Wednesday from noon until 2 p.m. at the Bruso - Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Notre Dame Church in Malone. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in the spring. Charles Jeffrey Hayden, 12 years old, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at his home on Telegraph Road in Peru. He was born in Elmira on June 21, 1991. There will be no public funeral services. Arrangements are with the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. |
