Rochester, N.Y. — Dorothy M. Liberty, 82, formerly of Truman Avenue, Plattsburgh, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at Wesley Garden Nursing Home in Rochester, N.Y.

She was born on April 13, 1921, in Chazy Lake, N.Y., the daughter of Alfred and Mary (Minnie) Smart.

Dorothy married Arthur J. Liberty on June 3, 1939, who predeceased her. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh.

Survivors include six children, Mary Delgado and her husband Louis, Muriel Latour, Charlotte Benton, Angela Douglas and her husband Wayne, Arnold Liberty and Rosemary Bond and her husband Tom; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Laura McNeil; and a brother, Adrian Smart; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in the spring.

Dorothy's favorite charity was the Salvation Army, so anyone that wants to donate in her memory, please direct them to the Salvation Army Worship and Service Center, 4814 So. Catherine St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901.

Earl E. "Sonny" Livernois, 66, of 1978 County Rte 27, Owls Head, N.Y., died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany.

He was born on June 8, 1937, in Malone, N.Y., the son of Earl M. and Lena (Belange) Livernois.

Calling hours will be at his home in Owls Head starting Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at 3 p.m. and all day Monday, Dec. 22, 2003. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Owls Head, N.Y. Spring burial will take place in Notre Dame Cemetery.
