Charles Alex Treadway

Chilson — Charles Alex Treadway, 55, of Canfield Road, passed away suddenly on Friday, Nov. 28, 2003.

He was born in Ticonderoga, June 4, 1948, the son of James F. and Jean K. (Osier) Treadway of Chilson.

Mr. Treadway was a lifelong resident of Chilson Hill. He was employed as a rural letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for many years. He was a graduate of Ticonderoga High School, class of 1966 and of Paul Smith's College, class of 1969. He was previously employed as a surveyor and for the Essex County Weights and Measures.

Charles was an active member of the Chilson Volunteer Fire Department, the Chilson Methodist Church and the Chilson Community Cemetery.

He was a member of the N.Y.S. National Guard for years, retiring Captain from Saranac Lake, N.Y.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Rae M. (Mi Mi) Hebert Treadway; two daughters, Tanya LaFrance and her husband Daniel of Ticonderoga and Victoria E. Loner and her husband Michael of St. Albans, Vt.; two sisters, Judy Donovan and Kimberly Olcott, both of Chilson; and two grandchildren, Natasha LaFrance and Nickolas La France; and several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A memorial service will take place Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Ticonderoga. The Reverend Paul L. Dufford Jr., pastor and the Reverend Steven Blanchard, will officiate.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Chilson Methodist Church or the Chilson Volunteer Fire Department.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home of Ticonderoga.

Flora G. Malseptic

Plattsburgh — Flora G. Malseptic died peacefully at home surrounded by family members on Friday, Nov. 29, 2003.

She was a retired pianist who devoted her life work to teaching piano at home and at the Conservatory of Musical Art in Manhattan. She was the director of music and the choirs at Mt. Carmel Church in Yonkers for nearly 40 years. For more than three decades she provided music as an accompanist for women's exercise classes at the White Plains YWHA.

Mrs. Malseptic was predeceased by her husband, George V. Malseptic.

She is survived by a daughter, Dr. Lynn Seldon of Santa Monica, Calif.; and a son, Dr. Ronald Malseptic of Plattsburgh. She is also survived by a brother, John Marinelli of Yonkers; and five grandchildren, Gabriel Malseptic, Nicholas Seldon, Dana Malseptic, Michael LaFountain and Marc Malseptic.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Malseptic will take place in Yonkers in the spring at Mt. Carmel Church.

Arrangements are with the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
