Martha K. Bushey

PLATTSBURGH — Martha K. Bushey, born Jan. 8, 1939, in New Haven, Conn., daughter of the late William Eric Kluge and Ethelinde Taylor Kluge of Prospect, Conn., passed away at CVPH Medical Center on Nov. 24, 2003, with her family and Hospice of the North Country.

Martha is survived by her husband, Ronald, whom she married on Jan. 1, 1984, in Waterbury, Conn. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law and their spouses, Rosemary and Robert Martin, Pauline and Clarence Bushey, Brenda and Charles Kitchen of Long Lake, N.Y., and Winifred and Robert Besaw of Plattsburgh. Also survived by her godchild, Eric Kluge and sister-in-law, Marie Kluge of Prospect, Conn., wife of her late brother, David, of Prospect, Conn. Her very close friends Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hassel of Watertown, Conn., Mr. and Mrs. Eugine Reighner of Bethlehem, Conn., also Mr. and Mrs. William Walcott of Thomaston, Conn.; also numerous close friends in Plattsburgh and many nieces and nephews.

The wake will be on Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at Brown Funeral Home, Broad Street, Plattsburgh, N.Y., from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. with a Mass at Saint Peter’s Church at 12 noon followed by burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

There will be a celebration of life following the funeral services at a place to be announced.

LEONARD J. CRATE, 92, of County Route 24, Chateaugay, N.Y., died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 26, 1910, in Malone, N.Y., the son of Stephen and Melvina Frazier Crate.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the St. Mary - Murphy Funeral Home chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine’s Church, North Bangor, N.Y., with Rev. Thomas Moody officiating. Burial will take place in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Chateaugay, N.Y.

Nelson S. Baker, 60, of A & J Lane, West Chazy died suddenly Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center.

He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on Aug. 12, 1943, the son of Nelson C. and Grace (Parrott) Baker.

Calling hours and funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
