Published: 11/12/03Norma J. Manor AntleyDayton, Texas — Norma J. Manor Antley died at her home Oct. 23, 2003. She was born Aug. 7, 1937, in Ellenburg, N.Y., the daughter of William and Leona (Rabideau) Manor. She graduated from Ellenburg Central School. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Nolan Antley Sr.; one son, Nolan W. Antley Jr. and his wife Rhonda; two daughters, Carolyn Hartwick and her husband George and Darlene Burgess and her husband Charles; two brothers, Eldmour Manor and wife Gladys of Mooers Forks and Homer Manor and wife Joanne of Ellenburg Depot; one sister, Gladys Hilliker of Champlain; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Manor of Altona; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Norma was preceded in death by a daughter, Pam Antley; her parents, William and Leona Manor; a sister, Beulah Furnia; two brothers, Kenneth and Ernest Manor; her paternal grandparents, Peter and Celestince Rabideau; and her maternal grandparents, Mose and Cloe Manor. A memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, at 8:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church in Chazy. Arrangements were with Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. Judy A. KoziakPOQUOSON, VA — Judy Ann (Osher) Koziak, 57, passed away Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, at her home. Born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., she had been a Virginia peninsula resident since 1988, moving from Stamford, Conn. Mrs. Koziak was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church where she also attended school and was a member of the CYO. Judy will be fondly remembered by her family as a loving and devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Koziak was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Irwin Osher. She is survived by her beloved husband, Edward F. Koziak of Poquoson; one son, Robert Schneider of Florida; and his father, Robert Schneider of Wilton, Conn.; her mother, Anita Brown (Osher) and her husband Robert of Hampton, Va.; one brother, Clarence J. Osher and his wife Beth of Ohio; one sister, Diane Boglisch and her husband Charles of Connecticut; three grandchildren, Ashley Koziak and Danielle and Lauren Schneider; and one niece and three nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. ArmstrongMorrisonville — Kathleen M. Armstrong, 76, died, Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in West Chazy on Dec. 1, 1926, the daughter of Clarence and Gertrude (LaPierre) LaPier. She was employed at Evergreen Valley Nursing Home as a home health care aide and previously in Schenectady, N.Y., and formerly was a ward clerk at CVPH Medical Center. She is survived by her husband, James A. Armstrong; a son, Lawrence and daughter-in-law, Sarah Cromie of Beekmantown; a daughter, Sherrill and son-in-law, Peter Payant of Plattsburgh; two brothers, Roland LaPier and Clarence LaPier, both of Goldsmith; three sisters, Carol Smith of West Chazy, Janice Steward of Goldsmith and Myrtle Miller of Massachusetts; and two grandchildren, Jessica and Patrick. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the O'Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday from St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Interment will follow in Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Plattsburgh. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association. Rita O. LehaneRedford — Rita O. Lehane, 75, died, Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Blackbrook on Feb. 6, 1928, the daughter of Harry and Lilian (Charbonneau) Gilmet. She owned and operated Rita's Hair Styling Center in Brattleboro Vt. For over 51 years Rita was a hairdresser in the area and a member of the national hairdressers association. Rita was a member of the Catholic Daughters of Isabella and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 34 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of both St. Michael’s Church and the Assumption of Mary Church. Rita enjoyed camping at her camp in Vernon, Vt., being with family and friends, playing bingo, cards shopping and praying. She was a very devoted catholic. Her children were her whole life. She is survived by two sons, Douglas Lehane of Newfane Vt., and Richard Lehane of Redford; two daughters, Paula Moore and son-in-law, Lee Moore and Rita Marie (Colman) Shippee, son-in-law, Todd Shippee of Churubusco; her companion, Charlie Colman of Churubusco; one brother, Francis Gilmet of Redford; two sisters, Veronica Jette of Plattsburgh, and twin sister Lita Vann of Redford; six grandchildren, Joseph Moore, Vanessa Moore and her companion Norman Guerin, Brandy Lee Moore and her companion Michael Sorrell, Cora Shippee and her companion Kyle Brunet, Colby Shippee and Christa Shippee; two great-grand-children, Dylan Lee Guerin and Deran Mountain Guerin; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Her husband, Richard Lehane, whom she married April 2, 1948, died Jan. 6, 1962. Sisters, Theresa Brewer, Rose Deno, and brothers, Antoine Gilmet and Lawrence Gilmet, all died before her. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. at the O'Neil-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Altamaniuk Funeral Home in Brattleboro, Vt. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Church in Brattleboro Vt. Memorial donations may be made to the Churubusco Volunteer Fire Department or the Saranac Rescue Squad. Pauline A. Guay, 82, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at Cedar Hedge Nursing Home in Rouses Point. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Coopersville, N.Y. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are with M.B. Clark Funeral Home. Gary Eugene Larocque, 49, of Route 122, Constable, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone, N.Y. He was born in Middlebury, Vt., on Aug. 23, 1954, the son of Henry and Simone (Bowen) Larocque. Calling hours will be held at the St. Mary-Murphy Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. only. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, in St. Francis of Assisi Church with Rev. Francis Flynn officiating. Burial will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Constable. |
