Louanne J. Dragoon

Mooers — Louanne J. Dragoon, 49, of Mooers, died Friday, Oct. 17, 2003, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born in Flint, Mich., on Nov. 4, 1953, the daughter of Ronald R. and Jacqueline (Owens) Trombly.

She was employed by N.Y.S.E.G. for many years and was an active member of St. Joseph's Church in Mooers. She was also very active in the Mooers Youth Commission and was a soccer and T-ball coach. Louanne also loved horses.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Dragoon of Mooers; her father, Ronald R. Trombly of Mooers; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ryan and Erin Dragoon of St. Paul, Quebec, and Robbie Dragoon of Mooers; a daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Thomas Cushing of Mooers; her brothers and sisters and their spouses, Sandra Romaine of Woodhaven, Mich., Randall and Ann Trombly of Mooers, Mark and Wanda Trombly of Mooers, Ronald and Barb Trombly of Mooers and Marlene and Mark Hildenbrandt of Ballston Spa; three brothers-in-law, Frank Dumas of Mooers, Wayne and Linda Dragoon of Mooers and Scott and Debbie Dragoon of Altona; a sister-in-law, Jennifer and Kelly Cowans of Chateaugay; her mother and father-in-law, Margaret and Jack Dragoon of Mooers; three grandchildren, Regen and Ryley Cushing and Noah Dragoon; and several nieces and nephews.

Her mother, Jacqueline Trombly, died on Aug. 13, 2003. Her twin sister, Roxanne Dumas, died on Sept. 24, 2003. A brother-in-law, Larry Romaine, also died earlier.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Mooers. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday from St. Joseph's Church in Mooers. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the Mooers Rescue Squad.

Donald Stafford Warren, 75, died at the Folts Home in Herkimer, N.Y., on Oct. 15, 2003.

He was born in New York City on Aug. 31, 1928, the son of Jehial and Lettie (Stafford) Warren.

Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeshore Road, Willsboro, N.Y. Arrangements are with the Huestis Funeral Home, Willsboro, N.Y.

Joan Martin, 49, of Plattsburgh, died Friday, Oct. 17, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

Arrangements were incomplete Friday evening at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Champlain.

Kathryn A. Greenwood, 80, of Riverside Drive, Saranac Lake, died Friday, Oct. 17, 2003, at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

She was born in Utica, N.Y., on April 17, 1923, the daughter of Edmund and Hazel (Clary) Brooks.

Calling hours will be held at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Bible vigil service will take place Sunday evening at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Monday at St. Bernard's Church in Saranac Lake, with Rev. Kevin McEwan officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Gabriels.

Frederick E. Bartholomew, 91, of State Rte. 3, Childwold, N.Y., died Oct. 16, 2003, at his home in care of friends, family and High Peaks Hospice.

He was born in Potsdam on June 17, 1912, the son of Frederick and Anna (Pond) Bartholomew.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Oct. 19th, at the Richer Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 20th, at Childwold Memorial Presbyterian Church on Stovepipe Alley at 10 a.m. with Rev. Virginia Atherly officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Gale Cemetery.
