Published: 10/12/03Daisy O. BoureyPlattsburgh — Mrs. Daisy O. Bourey, 82, of Prospect Avenue, Plattsburgh, passed away Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Chicago, Ill., on May 25, 1921, the daughter of Daniel and Annie (Causon) Ormrod. Daisy served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. She owned and operated Johnson's Auto Glass on Bridge Street from 1961 until 1988 when she retired. She enjoyed bowling, RV camping and her family. Daisy was a member of the United Methodist Church in Plattsburgh. She was predeceased by her first husband, Harmon R. Johnson; and a sister, Olive Sholon. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Arthur G. Bourey of Plattsburgh; two sons, Daniel Johnson and his wife Deborah of Plattsburgh and Richard Johnson and his friend Sally Terry of Plattsburgh; a sister, Frances Long and her husband Leo of Stone Lake, Wis.; husband Arthur's children, Larry Bourey of Saranac Lake, N.Y., Peter Bourey and his wife Linda of Raleigh, N.C., and Michael Bourey and his wife Kelley of Irving, Texas; many grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held Monday at 9 a.m. at the United Methodist Church on Beekman Street, Plattsburgh, with the Rev. Clark Callender, pastor, officiating. Entombment will follow at the Whispering Maples Mausoleum on the Tom Miller Road. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations to the United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. Constance OvalleElizaville, N.Y. — Constance Ovalle, 88, of Elizaville (Columbia County) died Oct. 10, 2003, at the Columbia/Greene Long Term Care Unit in Catskill. She was born on March 27, 1915, in New York City, the daughter of the late John E. and Ana (Bramlege) Bealler. Mrs. Ovalle was a clerk for the County of Columbia for many years before her retirement. She had been a member of the Church of the Resurrection of Germantown. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Claudia Ovalle of Germantown and Victor and Marlene Ovalle of Plattsburgh; four grandsons, Timothy and Eric Ovalle of Germantown, Nathan Ovalle of Livingston and Jason Ovalle of Alexandria, Va. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles V. Ovalle; and a brother, Jack Bealler. Private funeral services and interment will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations are requested to either the Southern Columbia Ambulance Squad, Box 33, Livingston, NY or the Germantown Lions Club, Germantown, NY 12526. Madeline Broderick, 81, formerly of 2 Pinewood Dr., Plattsburgh, died on Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, at the Evergreen Valley Nursing Home. She was born in Gaffney, S.C., on Oct. 3, 1922, the daughter of Simpson and Guineta (Feagin) Ledford. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 15th, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. Funeral services to be held at the funeral home chapel on Thursday, Oct. 16th, with burial to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Ruth A. Dutton, 73, of 1265 Rte. 3, Plattsburgh, died on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center. She was born in Dannemora on Nov. 27, 1929, the daughter of Arthur and Ida (Betters) Thompson. A memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 17, 2003. Funeral arangements at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home are incomplete. |
