Timothy J. Walsh

Columbus, OHio — Timothy J. Walsh, age 45, of Columbus, passed away Monday, Sept. 22, 2003, at the residence after a brave battle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur J. Walsh.

He is survived by his mother, Lorraine Walsh of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; and his children, Rochelle J. Walsh, Timothy J. Walsh Jr., and Derek A. Walsh, all of Columbus.; also his beloved friends, Charles and Louann Hadley and Connie Weimer, who cared for Tim till the end. He is also survived by the best coworkers he ever had the privilege of working with at Kindred Pharmacy Services, where he worked for the last three and a half years.

Calling hours were held on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road., Columbus, Ohio.

A Mass of Christian burial took place on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 6077 Sharon Woods Boulevard, Columbus, Ohio, with Father Pat Patterson, Celebrant, officiating. Entombment followed in Resurrection Cemetery.

Raymond J. Ouimette

Clintonville — Raymond J. Ouimette, 47, of the Lower Road, Clintonville, died unexpectedly, Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Plattsburgh, March 10, 1956, the son of Francis and Myrtle (Webb) Ouimette.

Ray was a foreman for George Moore Trucking for 23 years and was more recently employed with Rensselaer Iron and Steel in Albany.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, riding his ATV and loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Linda L. (Macey) Ouimette of Clintonville; his son, Lawrence H. Macey and fiancé, Charlene Heckman of Keeseville; his daughter, Belinda R. Ouimette and companion, James Curtis of Keeseville; grandchildren, Kyle J. Macey and Jayden J. Ouimette, Kaylah and Dustin Duval and Kristy and Samantha Heckman; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Elmer Ouimette of Saranac Lake, Francis and Alice Ouimette of AuSable Forks and George and Donna Ouimette of Keeseville; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Carol and John Kingsbury of Maine, Sandra and Dennis Connell of Schuyler Falls, Maxine and Nick Orlando of Cadyville and Ruth Kauffman of Keeseville; nieces and nephews; and aunts and uncles.

He was predeceased by his parents; and brothers, Howard, Donald and David.

There will be no public calling hours. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Association.

Marvin H. Morrow Sr.

Plattsburgh — Mr. Marvin H. "Marvelous Marvin" Morrow Sr., 69, of Twin Circle, Plattsburgh, passed away Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003, at the residence of his friend Bernice Cressey.

He was born in Saranac Lake, N.Y., on July 17, 1934, the son of Herbert and Stella (Blair) Morrow.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from 1951 to 1955. Marvin had been stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi and Newfoundland.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 20 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 125.

Marvin enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, but most importantly spending time with his grandchildren.

Marvin was the youngest of 15 children.

He was predeceased by five brothers, who were killed in action during World War II; his parents; and several sisters, as well. He was also predeceased by his companion’s son, Donald Cressey.

He is survived by his daughter, Audex Gay of Oregon; his son, Marvin Morrow Jr. and his companion Susan Terry of West Chazy; his grandson, Tanner "Butch" Morrow of West Chazy; his companion of many years, Bernice Cressey of Plattsburgh; two brothers, Frederick Morrow of Saranac Lake and Vernon Morrow of Bloomingdale; a sister, Edna MacDowell of Saranac Lake; his companion’s children and grandchildren; David and Bonnie Cressey of Yulee, Fla., Dawn and Nelson Willey of Maryland, Bonnie and David South of Plattsburgh, Keith and Dawn Cressey of Plattsburgh and nine other grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive him.

At Marvin’s request there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Peasleeville Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.

Mary Ann Hulihan

Plattsburgh — Mrs. Mary Ann Hulihan, 83, of the Vilas Home on Beckman Street in Plattsburgh, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt.

She was born in Troy, N.Y., on Aug. 3, 1920, the daughter of J. William Bedard and Helen (Guerin) Bedard.

Mrs. Hulihan worked at Saranac Central School as a secretary for several years. She enjoyed reading.

Mrs. Hulihan is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph Michael and Victoria Hulihan of Rome and William Francis and Nancy Hulihan of Rome; two daughters and one son-in-law, Kelley Ann Hulihan and her husband David Pollard of Cobleskill and Karen Hulihan of Plattsburgh; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, also survive her.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph James Hulihan.

Funeral arrangements are at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

Dean J. Vann

Morrisonville — Dean J. Vann, 34, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Plattsburgh on Nov. 28, 1968, the son of Leo and Sharon (Strack) Vann.

He worked for the N.Y.S. Department of Transportation and before that Dean worked construction. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was a devoted father and Emily and Coty were the love of his life.

He is survived by his wife, the former Pam Coty; his parents, Leo and Sharon Vann of Redford; his son, Coty; and his daughter, Emily; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Mark and Mary Vann of Malta, Travis Vann and his companion Vickie Gallipani of Poughkeepsie; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the O’Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday from the Church of the Assumption in Redford. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Death Notices

Ruth Newman, 81, of Riverside Drive, Saranac Lake, N.Y., died peacefully Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003, at her home with her family around her.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin McEwan officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
