Margaret Jones

Malone — Margaret Jones, 95, of Malone, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, at the Farrar Home in Malone.

She was born in Bangor, N.Y., on Feb. 2, 1908, a daughter of Arthur and Florence (Adams) Ford. She married Sidney Jones on Aug. 19, 1936. He predeceased her in 1948.

Mrs. Jones attended Bangor Schools, graduated from North Bangor High School, Franklin Academy and Potsdam Normal School. She taught in rural schools in Bangor, the former Ryder District and the Quinn District on the Houndville Road, the Malone Central School District for 20 years and eight years for BOCES.

She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Malone, Glenwood Chapter, OES, Daughters of the American Revolution, Malone Grange and the Golden Age Club.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Malcolm and Sharon Jones of Malone; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. Donald Nancy Coons of Lockport, N.Y., and Mrs. Richard Marie Dunn of Hollywood, Md.; four grandchildren, Mrs. Richard (Lynne) Lugo of Middleport, N.Y., Mrs. Richard (Michelle) Patrie of Enfield, Conn., Mrs. Kevin (Melissa) Warner of Malone and Kevin Dunn of Randolph Air Force Base, Universal City, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Richard Lugo and Richard and Tyler Patrie; and a nephew, Thomas Ford and his wife Christine of Wassiac, N.Y.

She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Ford.

Calling hours will be held at the Spaulding Funeral Home, Malone, on Tuesday, Oct. 7th, from 1 to 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Malone at 2:30 p.m., Rev. Tom Davis presiding. Interment will be in Bangor Cemetery.

Following the interment service, friends are cordially invited to join the family at the Malone Fire Department for a time for food, fellowship and remembrance.

Donations in Mrs. Jones’ memory may be given to the Farrar Home, Hospice of the North Country, or the Malone Fire Department.

Agnes Pelkey, 91, of Gene LeFevre Road, Cadyville, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Cadyville on Dec. 29, 1911, daughter of William and Elizabeth (Ayotte) Provost.

There will be no public calling hours.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Oct. 6, 2003, at 10 a.m. from St, Joseph's Church in Dannemora. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Arrangements with Brown Funeral Home in Cadyville.

Sally Ann (Tefft) Matthews, 56, of South Hero, Vt., and formerly of Ticonderoga, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at the Respite House in Williston, Vt., following a long illness.

She was born Dec. 18, 1946, in Ticonderoga.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Burial will be at the family plot of the Valley View Cemetery of Ticonderoga.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home of Ticonderoga.

Howard C. DuBray, 82, of Tremblay Avenue, Plattsburgh, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at CVPH Medical Center.

Arrangements are incomplete at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
