Ellene J. Molinski

Mooers — Ellene J. Molinski, 77, of Mooers, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, at her residence.

She was born in Rouses Point on April 29, 1926, the daughter of David O. and Dorothy (Breyette) Beckwith Sr.

She married Walton R. Fletcher, who was killed in Germany in 1946. She later married Arthur G. Molinski of Rouses Point on Aug. 16, 1948, at St. Patrick's Church.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Arthur; her daughter; Janice (Fletcher) Davis of Lowell, Arizona; her sons, Robert and Linda Fletcher of Mooers and Gary and Brenda Molinski of Champlain; grandchildren, Robert and Lona Fletcher, Michael Fletcher and companion Sabrina Breyette and Jonathan Fletcher and companion Lisa Collins, all of Plattsburgh, Chris Molinski, Nick and Nicci Molinski, Melissa Molinski and companion Michael Hilliker of Champlain, Gary and Tina Imler of Bethel Heights, Pa., Darlene (Sissy) and Scott Cornell, Ernest and Lanetta Imler of Springdale, Ariz., Elleana and Steven Patterson and Anthony and Tara Imler, both of Lowell, Arizona; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Dutilly of Plattsburgh; a brother, David C. Beckwith of Rouses Point, N.Y.; and a brother-in-law, Ernest Burl of Beekmantown.

A sister, Shirley Burl, died earlier.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Mooers. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday from St. Joseph's Church in Mooers. Interment will follow in Riverside cemetery in Mooers.

Memorial donations may be made to the Mooers Rescue Squad or to Hospice of the North Country.

Harold E. Darrah

Plattsburgh — Mr. Harold E. Darrah, 79, of the Irish Settlement Road, Plattsburgh, passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center with his family by his side.

He was born in Plattsburgh on Aug. 27, 1924, the son of Ernest H. and Grace H. (Dubuque) Darrah.

Harold was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy on board the USS Consolation and from 1948 to 1950 on board the USS Talamanca. He was a member of the Fountain Brothers American Legion Post 1619 in West Plattsburgh and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 125.

He and his wife Josie owned and operated Darrah's Western Auto on the Irish Settlement Road for many years. He was self employed as an accountant and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Harold was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh.

He is predeceased by his parents Ernest and Grace Darrah; and a sister, Jean Wallace.

Harold is survived by his wife of 51 years, Josie A. (Carter) Darrah of Plattsburgh; his children, Bruce Darrah of Plattsburgh, Susan Rock and her husband Gary "Grub" of Plattsburgh, Kathleen Butchino and her husband Butch of Plattsburgh, and Jack Darrah and his wife Alison of Plattsburgh; his grandchildren, Jamey, Julie and Jessica Rock, Kylee and Joel Butchino and Brock and Jacklyn Darrah; a special nephew, Robert Wallace; two brothers, Russell Darrah of Smith River, Calif., and Randall Darrah and his wife Joyce of Melbourne, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 12 noon from Our Lady of Victory Church. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.

Members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 125 and the American Legion Post 1619 are asked to meet Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home for services.

Death Notice

Margaret Murphy Reilly, 82, of Prospect Street, Malone, died Sunday evening, Sept. 21, 2003, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone.

She was born in Malone, on Feb. 16, 1921, the daughter of the late James H. and Anastasia (Sweeney) Murphy.

There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, at 1 p.m. in the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. Burial will be private in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Malone.

MEMORIAL SERVICE

BUSCH — A memorial Mass of Christian Remembrance will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2003, at Holy Family Church in Essex Junction, Vt., for Karen Ann Busch, of Essex Junction, who died Aug. 30, 2003.

Arrangements are with the Corbin and Palmer Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant Street, Essex Junction.
