Richard J. Frenyea

Peru — Richard J. Frenyea, 70, of the Sullivan Road, Peru, died unexpectedly, Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, in the Town of Franklin.

He was born in Peasleeville, Oct. 21, 1932, the son of Edward and Alice (Frenyea) Frenyea.

Mr. Frenyea was employed with Coca-Cola in Plattsburgh for 35 years.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Richard was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and camping.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor (Annis) Frenyea of Peru, whom he married Nov. 22, 1952, at St. Augustine's Church in Peru; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ann and Ron Davidson of Saranac and Angela and John Kelley of Peru; two sons, Richard Frenyea Jr. of Plattsburgh and David Frenyea of Peru; 11 grandchildren; three great-grand-children; two sisters, Dorothy Kraus of Pennsylvania and Alice Bushey of Morrisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; one brother, Armand Frenyea; and two sisters, Charlotte Altman and Blanche Ford.

Calling hours will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home with Rev. Sally White, pastor of the Keeseville and Harkness United Methodist Churches, officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Keeseville.

Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Gloria Ashline

PLATTSBURGH, NY — Gloria Ashline, 71, formerly of Chazy, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center.

She was born in Plattsburgh on Dec. 15, 1931, the daughter of John and Myra (Shappell) Duquette.

She married Rudolph Ashline on June 7, 1952, at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Rudolph died on Aug. 21, 2000.

She was formerly a member of Sacred Heart Church in Chazy.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents; she is predeceased by two brothers, Herman Duquette and Clayton Ashline; and a sister, Dorothy Towner.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.

Donations in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.

Earl J. Garrand

Mooers — Earl J. Garrand, 86, of Mooers, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, at Fletcher-Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt.

He was born in Mooers on May 3, 1917, the son of John and Harriet (Willett) Garrand.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was employed as a construction worker for Fitzpatrick Construction in Plattsburgh for many years. He was an avid hunter and sportsman.

He is survived by his wife, Merle (Patnode) Garrand of Mooers; three daughters, Bertha Brahm of Plattsburgh, Brenda Hughes of San Diego, Calif., and Barbara Barnes of Addison, Texas; five grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

His first wife, Isabelle Sweet died in 1968. A son, Johnnie Garrand; and a brother, Theodore Garrand, also died earlier.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Mooers. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the Mooers United Methodist Church with Rev. Al Johnson, pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside cemetery in Mooers.

Memorial donations may be made to the family or to the Mooers United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.

William H. Foltz

ELIZABETHTOWN — William H. Foltz, 72, of New Russia, N.Y., died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, in Elizabethtown, N.Y.

He was born July, 28, 1931, in Yorkville, N.Y., the son of Saul and Ruth (Willsey) Foltz.

Bill was a veteran of the Korean War and a member for the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1963. He received the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a very active member of the American Legion Post 551 in Elizabethtown.

Bill was married to Elaine (Fornabiao) Foltz, who died Sept. 19, 1999.

Calling hours will be held Monday, Sept. 22, 2003, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Marvin's Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Funeral services will be held 'Tuesday, at 11 a.m. from the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Elizabethtown.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Legion Post 551 in Elizabethtown.

Katherine Weidenheimer, 78, of Cold Brook Road, Bloomingdale, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

She was born in Bronx, N.Y., on March 19, 1925, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Lamadore.

Visitation will be held at Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A bible vigil will be held Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, Bloomingdale, with Reverend Thomas Kornmeyer, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Bloomingdale.
