Jason Pugh

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. — Jason Pugh, 26, formerly of Cadyville, died in a motorcycle accident Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

He was born in Plattsburgh on Feb. 25, 1977.

He is survived by his father, Don Pugh, of Plattsburgh; his mother, Jane Pugh of Wilkes-Barre; a daughter, Katie, of Wilkes-Barre; and a sister, Shana Pugh of Harrisburg. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins, including Bonnie and Arnie Miller of Plattsburgh, Holly Miller of Winooski and Nicole Miller of Baltimore, Md.

Funeral services will be held on Sept. 18th at the Lisman Funeral Home in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

Larry D. LaMora

Schenectady, N.Y. — Larry D. LaMora, 59, of Congress Street, died Sunday afternoon, Sept. 14, 2003, at home after a long illness.

He was born in Saranac, N.Y., the son of the late Gertrude (Conlon) LaMora and David LaMora.

He was self employed in auto body repair for many years, retiring in the early 1990's.

Larry was predeceased by a son, James LaMora.

Survivors include three sons, Larry LaMora of Rotterdam, Lance LaMora of Plattsburgh and Terry O'Brien of Schenectady; and several grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at the Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, N.Y. A calling hour will be held at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the services.

Interment in St. Cyril's Cemetery, Rotterdam, N.Y.

Edith Knight

Crown Point, N.Y. — On Saturday evening, Sept. 13, 2003, Edith Knight passed away while hospitalized at the Fletcher Allen Medical Center in Burlington, Vt.

Ms. Knight was born in Newburg, N.Y., in 1912. She lived with her family until age 18, at which time she was placed at the Willowbrook Developmental Center on Staten Island. Edith resided there for 35 years when she was transferred to the Sunmount Developmental Center in Tupper Lake in 1965. For the next 11 years, she resided in family care homes in the North Country, finally moving into the Essex County ARC Community Residence in 1976. She spent most of her years at the Champlain House in Crown Point, which would remain her home for 21 years.

Ms. Knight was a very spiritual woman with a great zest for life. She was a regular member of St. Mary's Parish in Ticonderoga.

Ms. Knight loved being with other people and the feeling was reciprocated. A tribute to this was her 90th birthday in March of 2002. A party took place at her home and was attended by recent friends and friends she has known for over 20 years. People came from both Vermont and New York to celebrate this milestone in her life.

Ms. Knight was loved by many as evidenced by the wonderful care she received over the years by the Essex County ARC as well as the enduring friendships she had. Her sense of humor, her dignity and her outlook on life will remain as inspiration to us all.

Calling hours will be from 9 until 10:15 a.m. at Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry followed by a memorial Mass at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Crown Point on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003.

Titus — A memorial service will be held at lronville Cemetery in Crown Point on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, at 1 p.m. for Howard O. Titus, 78, of Longville, La., who passed away Sept. 20, 2002. He was bom July 3,1924, in Whallonsburg, N.Y., the son of Benjamin and Martha (Metcalf) Titus.

Leila M. Campbell, 72, of Springflower Drive and formerly of Limekiln Road, Malone, died Sept. 15, 2003, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone. She had been a patient there since Sept. 14th.

She was born in East Berlin, N.Y., on Sept. 26, 1930, the daughter of the late Watson and Leila (Meade) Townsend.

There are no calling hours. Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are through the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service, Inc. of Malone.
