Published: 09/14/03Harold J. RabideauMorrisonville — Harold J. Rabideau, 73, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Cadyville on April 16, 1930, the son of John and Gladys (Brooks) Rabideau. Mr. Rabideau served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was president and treasurer of NAPA Keeseville Auto Parts, Inc. for many years. He was second vice president of the Clinton County Fair Board of Directors and was a member of the Plattsburgh Elks Lodge 621, Keeseville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1505 and the West Plattsburgh American Legion Post 1619. He was a communicant of St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. He is survived by his wife, Lucille (Rock) Rabideau of Morrisonville; a son, Alan Rabideau of Plattsburgh; a daughter, Susan Aylward of Morrisonville; two brothers, Gary and Francis Rabideau, both of Cadyville; six sisters and four brothers-in-law, June and Clifton St. Louis of CadyvilIe, Marion Benware of Cadyville, Marie and Gary Drollette of Cadyville, Dorothy and Elmer Gifford of Glens Falls, Betty Burgess of Cadyville and Barbara and Charles Normandin of Morrisonville; four grandchildren, Christina Aylward, Megan Rabideau, Christina Rabideau and Ryan Rabideau; and several nieces and nephews. His parents and a sister, Joyce Normandin, died before him. Calling hours will be held at the convenience of the family. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday from St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Masses at St. Alexander’s Church may be offered in his memory. The O'Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh is in charge of arrangements. |
