Published: 08/16/03Kenneth L. ForwardRouses Point — Kenneth L. Forward, 83, of Rouses Point, passed away Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at Cedar Hedge Nursing Home in Rouses Point. He was born Sept. 13, 1919, in Montreal, Canada, the son of the late Hugh and Helena (Wheeler) Forward. He owned and operated the York Service Station in Rouses Point. Two daughters, Joy Seguin and her husband John of Rouses Point and Carol Snider and her husband Ken of Hampton, N.H.; and three grandchildren, Jason Seguin, Dustin Seguin and Joshua Snider, survive him. There will be no public calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at St. Patrick's Church in Rouses Point. Burial will be in Mount Royal Cemetery in Outremont, Quebec, Canada. Arrangements are with the Clark Funeral Home in Rouses Point. Mary E. SimpsonMineville, N.Y. — Mary E. Simpson, 81, of 139 Joyce Rd., Mineville, N.Y., died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at her home. She was born in Ticonderoga, N.Y., on Oct. 17, 1921, the daughter of James and Jessie (Stone) Lambert. Survivors include two sons and their wives, James B. and Debbie Simpson of Mineville and Howard and Kathy Simpson of West Hebron, N.Y.; one daughter and her husband, Mary Beth and David Mandy of Mineville, N.Y.; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Simpson of Mineville, N.Y.; her grandchildren, Tina Bureau of Queensbury, Bethany and David Mandy, Jessica and Marlene Simpson, all of Mineville, Howard Simpson II of Sterling, Mass., Kelly VanGrouw of Greenfield, N.Y., Kristie Jaakkola of Suanee, Ga., Jeff Simpson of Crown Point, George Simpson III of Rotterdam, Lacie Simpson, Catherine Brennan and Mairead Slattery, all of Carlow, Ireland; three sisters, Shirley Pelerin of Chilson, N.Y., Florence Cowan of Crown Point, N.Y., and Judy Justus of Hendersonville, N.C.; one brother, Thomas Lambert of Houston, Texas; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband, George Simpson Sr.; a son, George Simpson Jr.; a daughter, Ellen Annette Simpson; a sister, Alice Holmes; and her brother, Frank Lambert. Calling hours will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home, Port Henry, N.Y. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, at 2 p.m. at the Mount Moriah Presbyterian Church, Port Henry, N.Y., with Rev. Charles Monts officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery, Moriah, N.Y. Sharmaine C. Haas, 62, of Prospect Avenue, Plattsburgh, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Chateaugay on June 3, 1941, the daughter of the late Clifford and Viola (Martin) Gilman. Calling hours will be Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, from 2 to 4 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at 10 a.m. from the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Plattsburgh. |
