Published: 08/12/03Julia A. NelsonBlack Brook — Julia A. Nelson, 73, of the Haselton Road, Black Brook, passed away suddenly at her home, Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003. She was born in Mineville, Oct. 30, 1929, the daughter of Ernest and Julia (Hoffman) Hebert. She enjoyed dancing, attending parties, singing and playing Bingo. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Richard Ceckowski of Vermont; four sons and daughters-in-law, John and Karen Nelson of Black Brook, William Nelson of Saranac, James Nelson of Black Brook and Russell and Allyson Nelson of Peru; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Betty Hebert of Plattsburgh; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy Trombley of Black Brook and Angi and Walt Laduke of Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Those that predeceased her are her parents; her husband, Jack Nelson; her daughter, Barbara Bodette; and her brother-in-law, Raymond Trombley Sr. Calling hours will be Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home, AuSable Forks. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 10 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Church, Black Brook. Burial will be in the family plot in St. Matthew’s Cemetery. Memorials to her may be made to the AuSable Forks Volunteer Ambulance Service or St. Matthew’s Church. Lillian R. LaBargePlattsburgh — Mrs. Lillian R. LaBarge, 79, of Monty Street, Plattsburgh, passed away Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center with her family at her side. She was born in Plattsburgh on Sept. 19, 1923, the daughter of Alphonso and Lillian (LaRose) LaMonda. Lillian had been a manager at the dining halls at Plattsburgh State University College and she was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church. Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Raymond LaBarge; and a daughter, Betty LaBarge. She is survived by her daughter, Fran Begor and her husband Doug of Plattsburgh; a grandson, Joseph Begor of Plattsburgh; two granddaughters, Valerie Favreau and her husband Dale of Dannemora and Holly Plumadore and her husband Lee of Silver Lake; seven great-grandchildren, Hillarie Rae, Michelle, Kasey, Rebecca, Parker, Cody and Allison. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. from Our Lady of Victory Church with the Rev. Floyd "Jerry" Bleaux, pastor as celebrant. Interment will follow in the family plot in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. Death Notices Barbara Jones, 75, of Lakeside Court, Cliff Haven, Plattsburgh, died, Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at her home. Calling hours and funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A complete obituary will run in Wednesday’s Press. |
