Eva S. Jubert

Champlain— Eva S. Jubert, 71, of Champlain passed away Thursday, May 29, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born Nov. 27,1931, in Champlain, the daughter of Charles and Laura (Dupont) Chevalier.

She was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

Her parents, as well as two sisters, Betty Scriver and Jean Willette, predecease Eva.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Nephew and her husband Randall of Mooers and Karen Decoste and her husband Lindsay of Alburg, Vt.; two brothers and their wives, Rodney and Kathy Chevalier of Lindenhurst, Ill., and Peter and Peggy Chevalier of Champlain; four sisters, Eleanor Dominy and her husband Raymond of Beekmantown, Margaret (Peggy) Hogle and her husband Darrel of West Columbia, S.C., Constance (Connie) Manning of Sun City, Ariz., and Barbara LaBombard and her husband Donald of Rouses Point; and six grandchildren, Joel Goodwin Jr., Alicia Kimball, Lauralee Kimball, Bruce Kimball Jr., Morgan Nephew and Kelsey Mitchell.

Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home in Champlain. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Church in Champlain.

Christine A. Howerton

Harkness — Christine A. Howerton, 41, of the Clintonville Road, died unexpectedly Friday, May 30, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Keene Valley on Dec. 19, 1961, the daughter of Arthur and Gladys (Drake) Pelkey.

She worked at Rod's Grocery in AuSable Forks for many years.

Christine was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed her many animals.

Survivors include her husband, James Howerton of Harkness; one daughter and her fiancé, Jessica Howerton and Richard Thomas III of Keeseville; her parents, Arthur and Gladys Pelkey of Keeseville; one sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Paul Ero of Keeseville; three brothers and sister-in-laws, Ernest and Debra Pelkey of Clintonville, Wayne and Wanda Pelkey and Scott and Tammy Pelkey of Keeseville; her father and mother-in-law, Junior and Mary Howerton of Harkness; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Travis and Michelle Howerton of Harkness; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Patti and Bruce Bourdeau of Point au Roche and Tammy Howerton and companion Victor LaClair of Harkness; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A brother, Kenneth Pelkey, predeceased her.

Calling hours will be held Monday, June 2, 2003, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Sally White, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Harkness Cemetery.

Donations in her memory may be made to the family.

Marie Mable Norcross

Cadyville — Mrs. Marie Mable Norcross, 81, of Route 3 CadyviIle, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center.

She was born in Lyon Mountain, N.Y., on June 4, 1921, the daughter of Benjamin and Lillian (Havens) Brooks. She was a graduate of Lyon Mountain High School and of the Loretta Business School in Plattsburgh.

Marie and her late husband Charles W. "Pete" were foster parents to several children over many years. She enjoyed crocheting and reading. Marie had been an Avon representative for many years. She was a member of St. James Minor Church in Cadyville and a former member of St. James Minor Church Altar Rosary Society.

Marie was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Lillian and her husband, Charles W. "Pete" Norcross.

She is survived by her children, Nancy LaPlante and her husband Lester of Plattsburgh, James Norcross and his wife Debbie of Vermontville, Charles D. Norcross and his wife Lynne of Cadyville, Reginald Norcross and his wife Kim of Plattsburgh and Sally Darrah and her husband Bruce of Cadyville; 11 grandchildren, Angela Briotta and her husband Anthony, Andrew LaPlante and his wife Nicole, Aimee LaPlante, Michelle and Karan Norcross, Erin and Adam Norcross, Billy Joe and Sarah Norcross and Benjamin and Katelyn Darrah; one aunt, Violet Gareau of Dannemora; a close cousin, Freida LaMar of Dannemora, who was like a sister to her. Marie is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Verda Norcross of MorrisonviIle, Claris Norcross of Plattsburgh and Mabel Norcross of Baldwinsville, N.Y.; several nieces, nephews and other cousins also survive her.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Park Row, Cadyville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at noon at St. James Minor Church. Interment will follow in the Cadyville Protestant Cemetery.

Friends wishing may have Masses said in her memory or make donations to the Cadyville Fire Department or to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

David A. St. Germaine, 60, of Slate Hill, N.Y., died May 20, 2003, at Orange Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Dunkirk, N.Y., on June 19, 1942, the son of Arthur C. St. Germaine and Marie L. Breyette.

Burial was in the Cider Hill Crematory.

Arrangements were with the Phillips Funeral Home in Middletown, N.Y.

Kenneth C. LaVigne, 47, of 20 Prospect St., Tupper Lake, died May 29, 2003, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, N.Y.

He was born Oct. 15, 1955, in Tupper Lake, the son of Kenneth C. "Guy" and Eleanor Mae (LaGrave) LaVigne.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Richer Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Holy Name Church in Tupper Lake, with Rev. Donald Kramberg officiating. Burial will follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.

Raymond Edward Brault, 66, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died May 28, 2003, at home.

He was born in Bennington, Vt.

There are no services planned at this time.

Arrangements are with the Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, St. Petersburg, Fla.

Georgiana Otis, 98, of North Port, Fla., died May 24, 2003, in Bon Secours-Venice Nursing & Rehab Center.

She was born on Dec. 14, 1904, in Port Henry, N.Y.

A service will be held at a later date at the family cemetery in Elizabethtown, N.Y.

Arrangements are with the James A. McKee Funeral Homes, North Port, Fla.
