Published: 05/29/03Theresa M. PeryeaAltona — Mrs. Theresa M. Peryea, 72 of the Military Turnpike, Altona, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Mooers, N.Y., on June 21, 1930, the daughter of Orlando and Rose Marie (Lanyell) Boulrice. She was a graduate of Mooers Central School. Theresa enjoyed crafts, knitting, but most importantly spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Altona Fire Department and of Holy Angels Church, Altona. Theresa was predeceased by her parents, Orlando and Rose Marie Peryea; a son, Gary Allen Peryea; and a brother, Girard Boulrice. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Francis E. Peryea of Altona. They were married Oct. 20, 1948. Her children, Honorable Judge Francis J. Peryea Jr. and his wife, Velma of Altona, Denis Peryea and his wife, Cheryl of Altona, Gail Kourofsky and her husband, Kerry of Rochester, N.Y., Karen Trombley of Mooers Forks, Robert Peryea and his wife, Tina of Altona; her sisters, Isabel Ashline and her husband, Jerry of Mooers Forks, N.Y.; Lucille Lafountain and her husband, Owen of Altona, Yvonne Bourdeau of Beekmantown; Loretta Lashway of Altona, Lorraine Castine and her husband, Jerry of Mooers Forks and Claire Porter of Altona; her brothers, Reil Boulrice of Mooers, N.Y., Leonard Boulrice and his wife, Carol of Mooers; her grandchildren, Heather, Amber and Carrie Ann Kourofsky, Joey Peryea, Amy Martin, Aaron and Aubrey Peryea, Kasey Trombley, Kris and Codie Peryea, Laurie Guay, Robert Kings Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Gary and Alyssa Guay and Tyler Martin; several nieces and nephews also survive her. Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Altona. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 1 p.m. at Holy Angels Church, Altona. Interment will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery. Friends wishing may make donations to the American Cancer Society or the Altona Fire Department. John W. Kent Jr., 31, of Saranac Lake died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at the Adirondack Medical Center at Saranac Lake. He was born June 29, 1971, in Saranac Lake. Calling hours were held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fortune Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Saranac Lake. SUTTNER — A memorial service for Erhard Robert Suttner, of Hague, who passed away May 23, 2003, will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the Hague Baptist Church. The Rev. Donald Buchanon, pastor, will officiate. A reception in his honor will follow the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home of Ticonderoga. PROVONCHA — A graveside service with military honors for William A. Provoncha, of Ticonderoga, who passed away Dec. 11, 2002, will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2003, at 10 a.m. at the family plot of the Valley View Cemetery of Ticonderoga. The Rev. Mr. Elliott A. Shaw of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga, will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, Ticonderoga. VanValkenburg — Graveside services for Paul "Pat" VanValkenburg who died Jan. 17, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center, Plattsburgh, will be held Saturday, May 31, 2003, at 9 a.m. at the family plot in the Jay Central Cemetery, Jay. Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. |
