Published: 05/09/03Pamela Rae (Hargett) HaranWitherbee — Pamela Rae (Hargett) Haran, 47, of Witherbee, died May 7, 2003, at her home. She was born at Burlington, Vt., on March 10, 1956, the daughter of Arthur Claude Hargett and Mildred May Hargett. Pammy loved her children, grandkids and her beautiful home. She is survived by her three beloved children, Chad of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Billy of Witherbee and Coty of Witherbee; her grandsons, Brady and Colen; her brothers and sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents. Calling hours will be held Friday, May 9, 2003, at 4 to 7 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 10, 2003, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery, Moriah, N.Y. Memorial donations may be made to Pammy’s youngest son, Coty. Carol Anne BettersMorrisonville/AuSable Forks — Carol Anne Betters, 51, of Forest Hill Way, died Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at the home of her brother, Arthur Nolan, in AuSable Forks. She was born Jan. 1, 1952, in Plattsburgh, the daughter of Charles and Winifred (Taylor) Nolan. Carol was a home health aide in the surrounding areas. She was a member of Holy Name Church. Carol had a heart of gold, always willing to help anyone in their time of need. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. From a son-in-law’s view, he could not ask for a better mother-in-law. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Betters, whom she married June 26, 1993; a daughter and son-in-law, Francine and David Hardin of Morrisonville; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard/Nick and Pamala Bola of Morrisonville; a stepdaughter, Amy Lynn Betters of Keeseville; four granddaughters, Ashlee, Nikki Lynn, Jordan and Jade; her sisters and brothers, Patricia and John Sawyer of AuSable Forks, Vera Viera of Plattsburgh, Kelley and Dean Sheer of Willsboro, Judy Margaret Nolan of AuSable Forks, Arthur and Judy Nolan of AuSable Forks, Charles Edward Nolan Jr., of Saranac, Philip and Sandy Nolan and Rick and Sue Nolan, all of AuSable Forks; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Calling hours will be Friday, May 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. only, at the Zaumetzer - Sprague Funeral Home, AuSable Forks. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Holy Name Catholic Church, AuSable Forks. Cremation will follow the church service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Holy Name Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Clinton County Hospice or the Morrisonville Ambulance Service. Lawrence — A graveside service for Gerwood Lawrence of Clintonville, who died Jan. 6, 2003, in Plattsburgh, will be held Saturday, Jan. 10, at noon at Holy Name Cemetery, AuSable Forks. Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Chapman — A committal service for Arnold G. Chapman will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2003, at 9 a.m. at St. Peter's Cemetery. The arrangements are by the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Eichen — A memorial graveside service for Lillian B. Eichen of Ticonderoga, who died Jan. 27, 2003, will be held Saturday, May 10, 2003, at the ValIey View Cemetery in Ticonderoga with Deacon Elliot Shaw officiating. Arrangements are with the Connery & Gunning Funeral Home in Ticonderoga. ELIzabeth Corbett Skahan (Corbee, Cousin/ Aunt Betty), 80, of Hague, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at the Glens Falls Hospital. She was born on Aug. 21, 1922, in New Rochelle. Calling hours will be Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga. A funeral service will take place Monday at 10 a.m. at the Putnam United Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Sharon K. Weber, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow at the Valley View Cemetery of Ticonderoga. |
