Published: 04/22/03Marjorie B. JennettPLATTSBURGH — Marjorie B. Jennett, 89, formerly of 104 Bailey Ave., Plattsburgh, died Monday, April 21, 2003, at the Clinton County Nursing Facility. Mrs. Jennett was born in Valleyfield, Quebec on June 30, 1913, the daughter of Lucien and Flora (McGillis) Boire. She married Emmett P. Jennett in Sciota on June 30, 1940, he died in 1962. Mrs. Jennett was a member of the United Methodist Church in Plattsburgh, a member of the United Methodist Women and was the financial secretary for the church for 15 years. She also volunteered at the CVPH Medical Center Gift Shop and information desk for several years. Mr. and Mrs. Jennett owned and operated the IGA Supermarket in Mooers, for many years. Survivors include her daughter, Susan J. Horton and her husband, Rev. Dr. Mark A. Horton of Danbury, Conn.; two sisters, Flora Eligur and her husband, Mehmet of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Harriet Jones of Macedon, N.Y.; three sisters-in-law, Marge Boire of Albion, N.Y., Marion Dragoon of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Merle Boire of Hamburg, N.Y.; one granddaughter, Emily Hibbard and her husband Robert of Roxbury, Conn.; one great-grandson Ethan Hibberd; and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Neil, James and Lucien Boire and two sister, Alice Dunn and Virginia Bain, all died earlier. Private calling hours and funeral services will be held for the convenience of the family. Public graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Mooers. Donations in her memory, may be made to the United Methodist Women of Plattsburgh. The R.W. Walker Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements. Thomas Michael RaymondPLATTSBURGH — Thomas Michael Raymond, 54, of Lynde Street, Plattsburgh, died Friday, April 18, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Plattsburgh on June 28, 1948, the son of Charles and Jean (Bombard) Raymond. Thomas graduated from Plattsburgh High School and attended Adirondack Community College and then Clinton Community College. He was in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, serving in Germany for three years. He later worked for the United States Postal Service in Schenectady and the Postal Service for the New York State Assembly in Albany. Thomas was a history buff and enjoyed swimming. Survivors include his parents, Charles and Jean Raymond of Plattsburgh; one uncle, Allan and Isabel Bombard of Chazy Landing; one great-aunt, Marguerite Tosh of Plattsburgh; and several cousins including, Dr. Allan Bombard and wife Paula of New York City, David Bombard and wife Anne of Sackets Harbor, N.Y., Charles Bombard and wife Beth of Las Vegas, Nev., and Robert Bourne and wife Norma of Rochester, N.H. One brother, C. Harold Raymond Jr., died in 1991. Memorial services and burial will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Seton Catholic Building Fund at PARC or the CVPH Foundation. The R.W. Walker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. PLATTSBURGH — Committal services for Edward Provost, Marie-Ange Breton, Walter Andrews, Cora Grenier, Thelma Maslak and Sonia Howard who passed away over the winter will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at 9 a.m. in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh. Arrangements were with the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. AUSABLE FORKS — A memorial Mass with graveside services following for all of the deceased who passed away during the winter from Holy Name and St. Matthew Parishes, Mass at Holy Name Church, Saturday, May 3, 2003, at 9 a.m. Committals at Holy Name starting at 9:45 a.m. for Kathleen Larkin, Michael Jacques, John Keefe and Agnes Betters. Fairview Cemetery, committals starting at 10:30 a.m. for Jesse Terry and Beatrice Blaise. St. Matthew’s Cemetery. Committal at 11:15 a.m. for Norman Funia. Those not attending the Mass will meet at the individual grave site at the specified time. Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Charles A. "Pat" McCutcheon, 85, of the Standish Road, Saranac, died Monday, April 21, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center with his wife Laverne at his side. He was born in Tea Neck, N.J., on Feb. 6, 1918, the son of Andrew and Daisy (Maye) McCutcheon. At Pat's request there will be no calling hours of funeral services. Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. |
