Published: 03/12/03Gertrude Marcella StranahanKeeseville — Gertrude Marcella Stranahan, 81, of the Auger Lake Road, Keeseville, left this earth peacefully, Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born on Willsboro Point, March 16, 1921, the daughter of Alec and Mary Ann (Deno) Barber. Mrs. Stranahan enjoyed gardening and keeping herself busy doing other household chores. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include six children, Beverly and Stanley Ero of Peru, George Stranahan Jr. of Keeseville, Jeane Stranahan of Keeseville, Sandi and David Shively of Mifflinburg, Pa., Ronald and Donna Stranahan of Keeseville and Debra Ann Stranahan of Keeseville; a brother, Oliver Barber of Florida; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ashley and Sue Stranahan of Clintonville; and several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. John's Church in Keeseville with Msgr. Leeward Poissant, pastor, celebrating. Burial will be in the spring in the parish cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Essex County ARC. Aidan Jerome VillanoGansevoort — Aidan Jerome Villano, 7 lbs., 13 oz., was called back home to be cradled in the arms of the Lord at birth, on March 2, 2003, at Bellvue Women's Hospital in Niskayuna. Aidan was the precious son of Christopher and Mindy (Martin) Villano and adored brother of Kayleigh and Timothy. Besides his parents and siblings, he was loved and will be greatly missed by his maternal grandfather, Jerry Martin and his wife Lorraine of Saratoga Springs; his paternal grandmother, Catherine Archambault and her husband William of Gansevoort; his paternal great-grandparents, Charles and RoseMary Corbett of Granville; his aunts, Cathleen Merrill and her husband Patrick of South Glens Falls and Kelly Mackison and her husband Christopher of Porters Corners; his uncles, Kevin Villano and his wife Jeannine of South Glens Falls, David Martin of West Milton and Peter Baruzzi of Saratoga Springs; as well as many dear cousins and friends of the family. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Eileen Martin. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 14th, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Regan & Denny Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Road, Queensbury, N.Y. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 15th, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in South Glens Falls. Mason, 74, of Peru, died Monday, March 10, 2003, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh on Aug. 29, 1928, the daughter of William and Bertha Guilbo Sr. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Plattsburgh. The O’Neill - Redden - Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh is in charge of arrangements. Charles F. (Beaner) White, 64, of 48 Pine St., Lake Placid, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. He was born in Lake Placid on Nov. 12, 1938, the son of Francis and Grace (LaFountain) White. Callings hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12th, at the Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid. A Bible vigil service will be held Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church in Lake Placid. Msgr. Michael Gaffney, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in May. |
